Race 1. 6.29PM Sequential Property Services Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres
#6 Star Blazer – Bet Now
This son of Mepunga Blazer has really hit his straps recording back to back wins at track and trip including a 29.90 performance beating Rock On John who he meets again here.
Is yet to win from box six but with only eight starts to his name hasn’t had the chance yet, has shown good box manners and a propensity to run through the line over the 525 metres.
Race 2. 6.45 PM The Meadows Conference and Events Centre Grade 5 – 525 metres
#5 Winlock Thor – Bet Now
Top record recently from middle boxes over the shorter distance’s swift wins at Ballarat and Bendigo in his last five starts.
Has had no luck at the start last two times out over this distance at The Meadows, but with fair luck early has run 29.88 here and has the motor to beat these.
Zambora Lion is a dog on the up in box two, but you will be asked to take the shorts again and he is unproven at track and trip.
Race 3. 7.07PM Feikuai Greyhound Heat 1 Grade 5 – 600 metres
#5 Weblec Jack – Bet Now
Class runner of the field has laid down quick time at the track and both the 525 and 600 metres, his early speed from the sprint trip should have him overcome box five where he’s won from twice before.
Never in the race when checked early last week but has a great form line a length behind Renewed a subsequent winner over the 595 at Sandown Park.
Race 4. 7.27PM TAB Long May We Play Grade 5 – 525 metres
#6 Larrekeyah Lady – Bet Now
Extremely promising two-year-old for the Brendan Pursell kennel has shown plenty over her first eleven starts to say she can step out and win first time at The Meadows.
Has won and placed in good time at Sandown Park in four of her last five starts and looks the fastest out from the wide brigade on paper, hard to roll.
Race 5. 7.47PM TAB.COM.AU Heat 2 Grade 5 – 600 metres
#2 Shadows No More – Bet Now
Youngster with a tonne of ability who couldn’t have been any more impressive over the similar trip at Sandown last time out beating home Group One star Rajasthan.
First time at The Meadows is a question but local trainer Brendan Pursell would have trialled her here and gets every chance to be forward in the run again from box two.
Race 6. 8.05PM Home of 10 Group 1’s Mix 4/5 – 525 metres
#4 Faithy Bale – Bet Now
Looks the best of Andrea Dailly’s three runners engaged here has been leading for fun at Sandown and Warrnambool for recent wins and back to The Meadows and the 525 metres where she’s a multiple time winner is well placed.
Should be able to go with kennel mate Elvisa Bale in two early but has superior mid and closing race speed.
Race 7. 8.25PM Topcat Video Heat 3 Grade 5 – 600 metres
#1 I’m a Krakouer – Bet Now
Sticking with the Renewed form line here was brave in defeat last week having to do plenty of work early from a middle draw, lots of guts to run on into second.
Draws the pole this week in a slightly weekly affair if Robert Britton’s dog can hold the rail from the corner start he’ll go a long way to winning this.
Race 8. 8.42PM themeadows.org.au Mix 3/4 – 525 metres
#4 You Tell Me – Bet Now
Gun young sprinter looking to atone for an aberration last time out and start another winning streak for the Greenough kennel.
Black Opium is the form sprinter in Victoria right now and You Tell Me beat the dog home twice in a row at Sandown and The Meadows late last month.
Race 9. 9.05PM Sky Racing 3-6 Wins Restricted Grade Final – 600 metres
#7 Zekel Bale – Bet Now
Something has to give here with so much early speed drawn close to the rail, Magic Will, Burn Time, Hawles and Kudos Bale are drawn 1,2,3 and 4 and it would be very surprising to not see some form of interference.
Zekel Bale looks the dog to pounce, coming home strong behind Burn Time last time out he gets another chance drawn where he wants to be and won’t have to contest the lead early, should be a good each way wager.
Race 10. 9.25PM Download The Watchdog App Grade 5 – 525 metres
#7 Rainbow Spirit – Bet Now
Had one three of his last four first out first home before running into Tiggerlong Tonk last start and finished tailed off.
Doesn’t necessarily run the quickest time but knows how to win getting to the front early and setting up a break, has gone 30.12 here in the past which would hold up well against this field and appreciates a wide draw.
Race 11. 9.45PM Join The 525 Club Now Grade 5 – 525 metres
#3 Big Dove – Bet Now
Very honest chaser has been inconvenienced by bad draws and luck in running lately but gets back closer to the fence and finds his right grade here.
A quick first sectional lead to a 30.11 win here five starts back, expect him to bounce back here.
Race 12. 10.05PM Like GRV on Facebook Grade 5 – 525 metres
#1 Bobby The Brute – Bet Now
Lives up to his name as a big strong long striding dog, was luckless last week from box four never getting a look in, coming up with the red is a huge tick here.
Won is a stunning 29.30 out of the draw at Sandown last month and given any room to move early will be the one to beat.
