The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.37PM TOPCAT Video Grade 7 – 525 metres
#3 Jet Legger – Bet @ Sportsbet
The son of My Redeemer broke through last time out at start four, drawing an inside alley for the first time he used it to full advantage driving to the front on the way to a very respectable 30.27 win.
There’s no telling which being out on the bunny will do for the dog who should be chomping at the bit to go again.
Race 2. 6.59PM Sky Racing Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres
#8 Ridge – Bet @ Sportsbet
Don’t mess with a winning formula he did it in style from this same box last week stalking the speed and showing a will to win at the end scoring in a slick 30.03.
Showed he has early speed as well as the smarts to not crash for the fence, a repeat will see him winning this.
Race 3. 7.18PM Meadows Conference and Events Centre Grade 5 – 525 metres
#6 Big Wings – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hasn’t been out of the money his last three with a win and two minors, crucially has found his box manners again and has put himself in winning positions on all three occasions, he should benefit from the vacant inside him here.
Great form reference behind He Shall Rodger last time who’s flying, is also a winner here in the past.
Race 4. 7.38PM New Bistro Open Soon Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres
#1 Aratuza Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hard to toss this dog from his favourite draw, four of his seven career wins have come from box one, including a 30.03 effort here at track and trip.
Recently one two in a row over six hundred and dropped back to the sprint last week, not likely to lead but should get a charmed run in transit.
Race 5. 8.00PM GRV Vic Bred Series Final Grade 5 – 525 metres
#1 Jackpot – Bet @ Sportsbet
Best dog gets the best draw here, Jackpot has been a sensation since coming to The Meadows winning three straight after stepping up from the short course at Healsville.
Has led and run them ragged on all those occasions and gets his chance to make it four on the bounce here.
Race 6. 8.24PM TAB Venue Mode Final Grade 5 – 600 metres
#1 Playlist – Bet @ Sportsbet
Gets a rematch with Fernando Frank here who lowered his colours last week in the heat, but it was Playlist’s first run over the middle-distance for some time and he should take plenty of improvement.
Made his own luck on the speed from the good draw and should be stronger closing off in the final.
Race 7. 8.45PM themeadows.org.au Free for All – 525 metres
#7 He Shall Rodger – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has come back a better dog this preparation even his runs when he hasn’t won has been full of merit charging at the line late.
His problem used to be getting too far back, but is finding a way to land closer and storm over the top of them in the run home.
Race 8. 9.05PM Home of Ten Group 1’s Mixed 4/5 – 600 metres
#2 Riccarton Rick – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hasn’t lived up to his lofty standards of late but has been stuck in tough box draws and tougher races, a second placing in 34 flat behind Zipping Rambo tells you he’s still going ok just needs luck at the jump.
Should get that here from box two and be able to show off his mid-race turn of foot.
Race 9. 9.27PM Feikuai Greyhounds Grade 5 – 525 metres
#4 How Not Too – Bet @ Sportsbet
Plenty of risk when taking this bitch, but she continues to trial the house down for Anthony Azzopardi and is due a win if she can begin with them at the start.
If she does she can make up lengths in the run and will be hitting the line as strong as anything.
Race 10. 9.50PM KCR Pet Transport Grade 5 – 525 metres
#8 Suntory Lass – Bet @ Sportsbet
Versatile bitch who’s just as good over the sprint as she is the middle-distance, box eight should work well here with the pair drawn inside likely to crash to the rail and bring her into the race.
Ran 30.22 getting beaten from box six last week which is more than competitive in a race like this.
Race 11. 10.11PM Greyhound Clubs Victoria Grade 5 – 525 metres
#6 Aragog – Bet @ Sportsbet
Far from a prolific winner but always runs an honest race and maps well here with box five wanting to get to the fence he’ll have plenty of room to maneuverer.
If he can get on the leaders back in the run if far more experienced over the track and trip.
Race 12. 10.27PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Grade 5 – 525 metres
#5 Circumstance – Bet @ Sportsbet
If given the chance to muster can really scoot that first sectional and with no speed outside him he should get to show off that turn of foot.
Not much winning form in this race but he did score here in 30.23 from a wide draw just three starts ago.
