The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips

Race 1. 6.32PM Sky Racing Maiden Final – 525 metres

#2 Buster Harley – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Well bred commodity out of the classy David Geall kennel, he’s been right in the market his first two runs but we haven’t seen what he’s packing after some bad luck.

You’re taking him on trust here but first time drawn the inside half of the track he could see some clear air early and justify the money for him.

Race 2. 6.58PM TOPCAT Video Grade 7 – 525 metres

#4 Panyam Bale – $7.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looks value at the quote, hasn’t run a bad race in his four career starts showing consistently good box manners over the short course and more recently this trip.

Always chased hard when second here last time out in a time that will be more than competitive in this class, if he’s not winning he’s going close.

Race 3. 7.18PM TAB – Long May We Play Grade 6 – 525 metres

#1 Quebec Bale – $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Prepared to stick with this dog after not being able to get in the race from box six when we put him on top last time out.

He’s a big animal and looks ideally suited to the tough 525 metres at the Meadows which he sees for the first time here, should enjoy a cosy run from the draw as well.

Race 4. 7.38PM themeadows.org.au Grade 5 – 600 metres

#3 Shanlyn Kim – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

She’s bound for much tougher races than this, was huge last time out when checked to the tail early over the sprint rattling home in fine fashion.

Looks one of the good things of the night here, can give a start and make up ground, looks like she’s been crying out for the middle-distance.

Race 5. 7.57PM Home of Ten Group 1’s Grade 5 – 525 metres

#1 Black Avenger – $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looks beautifully placed in this grade, is not always consistent but his best is very good, just four starts ago rattled off a 29.63 win at track and trip.

Does need a few favours early and should get them from the red rug, he did miss the kick from this draw last start but is too good to do it twice.

Race 6. 8.18PM Download the Watchdog App Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres

#7 Spring Cobra – $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Plenty of things in his favour here, doesn’t burn them early but Bobby the Brute should give him room to move early and his career best run has come at this track and trip.

Will be happy to sit outside and overtake dogs in the run such is his style, he’s always building up the revs and hitting the line.

Race 7. 8.42PM KCR Pet Transport Mixed 4/5 – 600 metres

#3 Jarick Bale – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Was hitting new career heights around a month ago and despite racing well since has just dropped off marginally, needs a race like this to see him back to his best.

Has been behind some tough types mainly Zipping Rambo lately, back in grade, good draw and runs in the legs over the middle-distance make him look a winner.

Race 8. 9.02PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Mixed ¾ – 525 metres

#2 Keep it Blue – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Big advocate for this chaser, he’s not quite Group standard but not far off, finds his right grade hear and off the back of a 30.48 win from a wide draw last start can do the double.

Very professional in the way he goes about his racing with no real weaknesses, unless back luck strikes he’ll be in the finish at a nice price.

Race 9. 9.20PM thephoenix.melbourne Grade 5 – 525 metres

#1 Blazing Times – $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Langdon kennel have found themselves a potential star here who’ll go well beyond Fifth Grade company, but this is the type of race you want to see him winning.

All his five hundred metre runs say that he’s a class above these but unusually has preferred wide draws to the inside so far, needs to tick this box.

Race 10. 9.42PM Gorski Tippers and Trailers Grade 5 – 525 metres

#1 Sir Champ – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Having been waiting for this dog to draw a box, he’s only won three of twenty-three but when he hits the frame it’s been impressive.

Has often been caught off the track or checked early but no excuses here from the pole in a race well within his reach.

Race 11. 10.03PM Home of the Phoenix Grade 5 – 525 metres

#7 Uncle’s Girl – $14 – Bet @ Sportsbet

We’ve found a sleeper here at a very attractive price, her form doesn’t jump off the page but she’s always been within a few lengths of the winner in recent races and can cause trouble here.

Boasts a 30.08 personal best from this draw at The Meadows, does like to use a bit of the track but will challenge these with a touch of fortune.

Race 12. 10.27PM Houdini Boy at Stud Grade 5 – 525 metres

#8 Code Blue Sue – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Didn’t let the each-way punters down last week running a cracker of a race from box eight to get up for second from well back in the field.

Comes up a juicy price is a very similar event, as the last tip will need luck in running but is more than capable.
