The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips

Race 1. 6.35PM TOPCAT Video Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres

#1 Hadouken – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Is knocking the door down for a win three recent runner-up performances in personal best times have him in great form has just been finding one better.

Has early speed for days and finally draws inside for the first time in several runs, should set up a lead early and score a well-deserved breakthrough.

Race 2. 6.54PM Sky Racing Grade 5 – 525 metres

#7 Madam Rosmerta – $10 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Has been up in grade after a slashing win a couple of months ago where she crashed down from an outside box and led them all the way in good time.

She’s been struggling against the higher class of dog but gets back in her right grade here and her record at the track and from wide draws is more than handy and you get a nice price about her too.

Race 3. 7.13PM Home of Ten Group 1’s Grade 5 – 525 metres

#7 Aston Ulysses – $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Big powerful thirty-seven kilo dog is flying at the moment, has been bullocking his way in the clear from inside and outside draws runs of 29.89 and 29.95 his last two put him right in the picture here.

Of his four career wins three have come from boxes seven and eight, he’s also placed behind and beaten Carry on Star and My Girl Kizzy his last two, plenty of good signs.

Race 4. 7.32PM Bendigo to The Meadows Final Grade 5 – 525 metres

#1 Soda Girl – $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looking for four in a row here after winning her last three at Bendigo with explosive speed out of the lids, she clearly looks the quickest of those drawn inside in this race and should lead for fun, only needs to run out the trip.

There’s speed and talent in the seven but the draw doesn’t suit, she’ll make her own luck from the cherry.

Race 5. 7.54PM Join the 525 Club Now Grade 5 – 525 metres

#8 Tommy Shelby – $1.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

This selection speaks for itself, dual Group winner out of Western Australia that has recently made the Million Dollar Chase and Top Gun finals and only needed a bit of luck to have won both.

Ideally drawn in the eight, should follow Major Major across and turn it on mid-race, look for him to run some time.

Race 6. 8.12PM themeadows.org.au Mixed 4/5 – 600 metres

#3 Whodat Opal – $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

This looks the ideal race for her she won from box three in a blistering 34.46 a couple of starts ago here leading all the way and has gone marginally quicker in the past.

May get a bit of resistance from the one early in the battle for the lead, but she should be right up there and a lot of these don’t have the six hundred experience she does.

Race 7. 8.38PM TAB Make a Date With Final 3-6 Wins Final – 525 metres

#8 Do It – $1.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Sits right of the cusp of this restricted wins race with six in the bank from his ten starts including a 29.69 effort in last week’s heats which has his closest rivals covered by six lengths.

Hasn’t seen box eight much but is a good beginner and does have the one win from the draw, form just too good to ignore.

Race 8. 9.00PM VIC Business Challenge Grade 4 – 525 metres

#1 Phantom Call – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Has been racing in better company than this at Sandown and hasn’t been disgraced a couple of 29.7 runs showing he’s still got plenty of upside.

The inside draw is a big key here his best win at the track and trip came from the draw in 30.08, he might be chasing La La Phoenix the likely leader but will have a lovely trail.

Race 9. 9.20PM KCR Pet Transport Grade 5 – 525 metres

#7 Summer Light’s – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Takes on gun NSW pup Zipping Rambo on his Victorian debut and has the chance to teach him a thing or two on how to get around The Meadows where he’s been so successful.

Rambo has plenty of early speed and will be headed for the rail giving Summer’s Light plenty of time to balance up and go forward fresh off a three-week break.

Race 10. 9.39PM Feikuai Greyhounds Grade 5 – 525 metres

#3 Fabriola Yes – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Exceptional form around the one turn track two of his three career wins coming in the last month of racing, takes a little bit to wind up but really hits the line.

Should be ideally suited to the step up in trip, can go with the field early and we’ll see what he’s made of on the run home.

Race 11. 10.00PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Grade 5 – 525 metres

#4 Daph’s Zac – $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Has found tough races and no luck coming to town his last couple of runs, but the talented chaser needed the learning curve and finds a race to breakthrough in here.

Loves to go to the front early and dictate affairs just needs a few strides to hit overdrive and put himself in the frame.

Race 12. 10.22PM TAB Create Your Spring Calendar Grade 5 – 525 metres

#1 Shy But Savage – $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Still in the infancy of his career he’s still a bit green but has shown flashes of brilliance to suggest he’ll make it at this level and beyond.

Has been mostly a Sandown dog thus far running good time but gets his chance from the red this week, he should be primed to take it.
