The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 3.57PM Home of the Phoenix Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres
#4 Shanlyn Kim – $7.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The only thing that’s held her back in her career so far are her average box manners, but looking at recent results she’s turning it around a win and three placings preceding a luckless run last time.
Was able to better Ridge from a similar draw here a few starts ago stalking the speed and hitting the line in 30.16, looks well capable.
Race 2. 4.17PM TAB Hume Cup November 1 Grade 5 – 525 metres
#5 Earthworm Jim – $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Exciting young prospect who’s coming in fresh of back-to-back wins here and at Sandown where he exploded out of this same box to find the front and scorch away.
Has a slow beginner directly inside and will be every chance to secure front spot again and further grow his stock.
Race 3. 4.37PM TAB Top Gun November 6 Grade 5 – 525 metres
#1 Tiberia Bale – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Early speed isn’t his strength and he can tend to find trouble when dealt a rough draw, but given a clean run like the one he should secure from the red is as good as any of these.
Holds a tremendous 29.83 best which came from the red rug here at track and trip, if he holds the two dog early is a massive chance.
Race 4. 4.57PM 57 Days Until the TAB Phoenix Mixed 4/5 – 725 metres
#6 Drako Bale – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has come back down to earth after a meteoric rise in the staying ranks and runs into the red hot Five Star here who jumps from box one, but on price alone he’s the one to back.
If Five Star leads it may be all over, but at $1.40 and arguably better from wide draws happy to be with Drako who’ll be in the first few and runs the trip.
Race 5. 5.22PM Gorski Tippers and Trailers Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres
#6 Enter the Son – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another one for the each-way punters here, this dog is adept over the five and six hundred and with a good record from box six will be hard to hold out if he’s close middle-stages.
Two wins and two seconds in his last four starts, confidence is high and he doesn’t mind jumping between distances.
Race 6. 5.37PM KCR Pet Transport Mixed 4/5 – 600 metres
#1 Soda Saville – $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
His challenge has always been at box rise, a step up to six hundred looked inevitable and connections have made the call after a dozen starts.
King of Calypso in box three should spring out but does run wide giving him plenty of room to find his spot on the fence and work into the race.
Race 7. 5.58PM Houdini Boy at Stud Grade 5 – 525 metres
#3 Grace’s Spirit – $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has shown more than enough in her first two runs back over the five hundred at Sandown to suggest she’ll go well as she gets back up in distance here.
Is well versed over the seven hundred but this looks an ideal stepping stone, she should be amongst the front brigade and have plenty in the tank when the whips are cracking.
Race 8. 6.19PM Sky Racing Grade 4 – 525 metres
#5 Hill Top Jack – $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hard to knock when not beaten far by Riccarton Rick over the six hundred his last couple and gets back to the distance where he’s traditionally excelled.
Will need a degree of luck from the draw, but if he’s able to sit outside the leader will power on past in the home running.
Race 9. 6.42PM TOPCAT Video Grade 5 – 525 metres
#7 Kanji Height – $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Due for a reversal of fortunes, hasn’t been able to take a trick lately making a bad habit of finding trouble in the run, but if also not far removed from some impressive wins.
Has gone 30.10 here and won twice out of the six alley, in a moderate fifth grade field deserves plenty of respect.
Race 10. 7.05PM Download the Watchdog App Grade 5 – 525 metres
#1 Westside Warrior – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
One of the better bets on the card, has been a slow burn to run out the five hundred but he’s almost there after excelling over the short course early in his career.
Was narrowly beaten running second here last week, if he gets the fly from the one they won’t get him this time.
Race 11. 7.27PM thephoenix.melbourne Grade 5 – 525 metres
#4 Dr. Ryker – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Explosive greyhound, once he gets those first few steps takes off with wicked acceleration just has to avoid that initial bump coming off the mat.
Is a proven winner here at the track and trip and has the experience factor on the favourite in the one box.
Race 12. 7.49PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Grade 5 – 525 metres
#5 Aston Value – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks the value here, has been consistent from day one never putting bad races together, has been in and around the placings and this is a golden chance to win here at The Meadows.
Has shown sufficient strength around the one turn tracks to suggest this isn’t a bridge too far.
