The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.42PM Every Race on the Watchdog App Live Grade 7 – 525 metres
#4 Token Lilly – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Won her maiden here two starts ago in a fast 30.12, it was clearly her best performance and she backed it up running two lengths second last start.
There’s not much speed drawn inside her here and she’s shown she can come out of the lids, gets the chance to go forward and take control.
Race 2. 7.02PM Sky Racing Grade 6 – 525 metres
#8 Zipping Ticket – $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has excelled everywhere else except The Meadows so far in her career but finds a race where she can break her run of outs.
There’s plenty of speed in the seven and five who should clear out a few runners heading to the fence giving her the chance to balance up and get a lovely run to the first turn where she can show her talent.
Race 3. 7.22PM TOPCAT Video Final Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres
#3 Kaison Bale – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been stuck out in box seven his last two starts and hasn’t appreciated it at all finding trouble early and never getting into a winning position.
Before that he was a 30.16 winner in this grade from box one, he doesn’t come up with the red this week but he’s closer to the rail and with one of the fastest early splits gets his chance.
Race 4. 7.42PM Hume Cup Heat One – 600 metres
#2 Zipping Zeek – $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Holds the run home record over the five hundred metres at Wentworth Park, has always looked like a middle-distance dog and has been sent to Melbourne and set for this race at the star of this month.
If he handles the track first up, he looks a good price here because the distance won’t bother him.
Race 5. 8.04PM VIC Business Challenge Free for All – 525 metres
#2 Rockstar Gately – $14 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Seriously underrated chaser who’s in the form of his career has not been out of a place his last five while leading all the way to win in 29.68 at Sandown last start.
On best times he’s right up to it with this field but has to get it right at the start like to drift to the middle of the track which can cause trouble, great value overall.
Race 6. 8.28PM Hume Cup Heat 2 – 600 metres
#1 Weblec Eagle – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
There are a lot of dogs who like to mix distances in this field Weblec Eagle isn’t one of them, the out and out six hundred metre dog might not hold the lead early from box one but should drop in just behind them on the fence and pick up some tiring first timers late.
Race 7. 8.48PM Hume Cup Heat 3 – 525 metres
#5 Christo Bale – $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Versatile chaser that can do it all, generally jumps well, great track sense, strong to the line and has the will to win, a deadly combination.
Just has to overcome box five early and not give Kim Zarr Dashian too much reign, she’s the likely leader and will take some running down.
Race 8. 9.07PM Hume Cup Heat 4 – 600 metres
#1 Fabriola Zad – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
All the speed and favoured runners are drawn out wide here there’s a high chance of trouble at the first turn, trouble that shouldn’t affect the perfectly capable Fabriola Zad off his inside draw.
The dog recently ran his personal best here 34.48 just two starts ago and is great each way value here.
Race 9. 9.27PM Feikuai Greyhounds Grade 5 – 525 metres
#4 Immunity – $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hot prospect out of the Jason Thompson kennel bred by boom sire KC and All, ticks a lot of boxes and has been brilliant winning six of his first seven starts.
Got a bit lost around here finishing third last week, will be better for the run can find the front and win.
Race 10. 9.48PM KCR Pet Transport grade 5 – 525 metres
#7 Capture Bart – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Drawn ideally here has good early toe and loves to sail across from out wide, is developing the engine to run out a strong five hundred metres as well evidenced with his win here four starts ago.
Big strong animal that can take some contact and keep charging forward, big danger.
Race 11. 10.10PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Grade 5 – 525 metres
#8 Invictus Waive – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Prolific winner on the provincial circuit just beginning to find his way here and comes up with an ideal box draw in a winnable race.
Has never been out of the eight but has won three from four from box seven, knows how to pounce on the lead early and if he does could see his untapped potential.
Race 12. 10.25PM Greyhound Clubs Victoria Grade 5 – 525 metres
#2 Teddy Too – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Multiple winner here and the track and trip seems to thrive over the distance, is above average early and doesn’t shy away from the fight in the run.
Box two is a big win gives him the chance to be right up on the speed where he’s the main danger.
