#8 Jayville Slick – Bet @ Sportsbet
Banking on the Victorian spoiling the party for Group Two Sydney Cup winner Miss Ezmae who just may need the run first up before she finds her feet in Victoria.
Jayville has been out of the placings over the shorter distances the last couple of starts but has shown he can eat up the seven hundred, just needs to put himself in the race from the eight.
Race 2. 6.54PM TOPCAT Video Grade 5 – 525 metres
#4 Big Wings – Bet @ Sportsbet
Is never far away in races like this, has been just behind the placings in his last two and a winner at Sandown before that.
Has an excellent history here at The Meadows, the powerful type rattled off a 30.03 win earlier this year and has had no problem dealing with tricky boxes.
Race 3. 7.14PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Grade 5 – 525 metres
#7 Zipping Pearson – Bet @ Sportsbet
Will be good to see this dog go around in Victoria, is known as a speed merchant at Wentworth Park and is coming off a strong second interstate.
Box manners travel and expect him to tear out and head straight for the fence, he’ll put up a gap the last fifty metres may be a challenge, but he’ll give you your money’s worth.
Race 4. 7.33PM Hume Cup Heat 1 – 600 metres
#4 Zipping Rambo – Bet @ Sportsbet
The Group One winning stayer and middle-distance beast has had the perfect preparation for this race cutting his teeth over the five hundred and looks ready to break out here.
Pinged the lids and led over the shorter distance last time out and with a vacant outside him should charge to the front here and run some time.
Race 5. 7.57PM Hume Cup Heat 2 – 600 metres
#3 Bobby the Brute – Bet @ Sportsbet
Stands out as a class act in what is a serious field, has struck out his last couple but is not far removed from a pair of scintillating wins in company not much weaker than this.
Crucially is drawn the inside half of the track, if he finds the rail on or behind the lead will be hitting the line at a rate of knots.
Race 6. 8.18PM Hume Cup Heat 3 – 600 metres
#7 Fernando Cazz – Bet @ Sportsbet
Ideally would have had a few runs coming into this but connections clearly feel like she’s ready to tackle a race like this first up and it would be silly to write her off.
Can show speed from any draw and fresh will be looking to sprint across them and take up the running where she’s done some special things here in the past.
Race 7. 8.37PM Hume Cup Heat 4 – 600 metres
#1 Tyler Durden – Bet @ Sportsbet
So much time for this chaser, his recent results may not be up to the high bar he’s set for himself but drawn the red in a feature heat like this he’ll be ready.
Is capable of firing out and finding the front and has run over seven hundred in the past, they won’t get past if he gets the top.
Race 8. 8.58PM Hume Cup Heat 5 – 600 metres
#5 Aratuza Bale – Bet @ Sportsbet
This bitch is consistently underrated and continues to put good form together with a trio of close up seconds here at track and trip.
You’d prefer her off the inside but the four and three should jump and take her into the race, she’ll be the one jumping out of the ground late.
Race 9. 9.17PM Hume Cup Heat 6 – 600 metres
#4 Enter the Son – Bet @ Sportsbet
One of the better bets of the night, wether it’s five hundred of six hundred has not run a bad race lately against some top class talent.
Has been jumping well over the sprint and with a vacant outside should be on the speed and have superior strength in the run.
Race 10. 9.40PM TAB Long May We Play Mixed ¾ – 525 metres
#2 Javi – Bet @ Sportsbet
Continued his purple patch well into his career with another win in top grade last week and there’s no reason he can’t go again from his most successful box.
Jungle Deuce in six is a star, but it’s not his draw and he’s well short of a run, would prefer to lay him at the price here first up in Victoria.
Race 11. 9.59PM thephoenix.melbourne Grade 5 – 525 metres
#1 Americano Miss – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was out of form over the track and trip, but a drop back to the shorts looks to have done the trick as this bitch got back to winning ways.
Should be the lamp lighter here from box one and with residual fitness on her side will hopefully get the full 525 metres.
Race 12. 10.23PM Gorski Tippers and Trailers grade 5 – 525 metres
#3 Cool Limit – Bet @ Sportsbet
Amazing win at Horsham last start, hadn’t cracked it in a while before racing away by eleven lengths in what was a romp.
Comes back to The Meadows and box three where she’s a winner before and strikes a race she’s well capable of taking care of.
