The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 3.07PM Sky Racing Maiden Final – 525 metres
#2 Flaming Peeper – $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Repetition is a positive for a young greyhound and this dog was excellent with a first out first home win at the track and trip last week and comes up with the same box for the final.
Appreciated being close to the fence, was straight on the bunny and showed no signs of weakness late getting home by a comfortable margin.
Race 2. 3.27PM themeadows.org.au Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres
#1 Nine Nine – $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Simply hasn’t been able to draw a box lately constantly coming up with the squeeze draw yet still managing four consecutive placings.
One of his two career wins is from the red and not having to run around a dog could prove the bounce back factor for this young chaser.
Race 3. 3.47PM Feikuai Greyhounds 2-3 Restricted Win – 525 metres
#5 Western Blazer – $1.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
He’s a class above this field and it’s mirrored in his record a three-time winner from eight starts his competition have taken much longer to develop.
Continues to grow in recent starts, second last time out here in 30.04 and was previously a winner in 30.12 from the pink rug, early speed should off set any worries about the box.
Race 4. 4.07PM Houdini Boy at Stud Grade 5 – 600 metres
#1 Carry on Maxwell – $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
More than a pass mark when put on trial over the middle-distance here last week finishing a game fourth only two lengths off a flying Jayville Slick.
That form reads really well for a race like this, there’s plenty of class in the middle boxes but he’ll get his chance to punch up and hold them all out from the red.
Race 5. 4.34PM TOPCAT Video Final Grade 5 – 600 metres
#2 Hill Top Jack – $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Similarly to Carry on Maxwell he got his first taste of the six hundred last week only bested by the talented Riccarton Rick.
Jack has a glowing resume over the sprint a fifteen-time winner who’s used to racing in some serious company he’ll be flying the lids with the best of them and making them chase.
Race 6. 4.52PM KCR Pet Transport Mixed 4/5 – 525 metres
#4 Westar Eileen – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been in and around the mark as always of late, her reliable box manners making sure she’s been in the finish of most of her races.
Gets a chance to skip away from her competition out of the four here with not much early speed in the race, she’ll be vulnerable late but looks good as an each-way option.
Race 7. 5.09PM TAB Venue Mode Mixed 4/5 – 600 metres
#3 Fernando Frank – $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Simply cannot run a bad race at the moment whether it’s against better company like this or he’s an odds-on favourite like last start he’s hitting the frame every time.
Has found the perfect balance of sustained speed over the six hundred metre trip, will be in the first few away and picks them up on the way home.
Race 8. 5.37PM thephoenix.melbourne Mixed ¾ – 525 metres
#2 Super Marli – $10 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Might be one who’s slipped under the radar here, finds herself up in grade but for good reason after a pair of sizzling Sandown wins and has performed well here in the past.
There are a lot of strong dogs drawn wide on the track who’ll be relying on the breaks where she’ll be making her own luck early.
Race 9. 5.54PM Gorski Tippers and Trailers Grade 5 – 525 metres
#3 All In Billy – $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Have to take this dog on trust to a degree, his recent runs at Healsville and here at The Meadows have only been serviceable, but you can’t ignore his 29.8 lifetime best here.
He’s won eight of his twelve races out of boxes one, two or three and should follow the two dog forward early and be too strong in the run.
Race 10. 6.12PM Home of the Phoenix Grade 5 – 525 metres
#7 Aston Adonis – $9 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Is and out and out chaser, can find bad luck but you know he’s always going o be giving it everything and with his strength looks a serious threat here.
Pace from the middle boxes should help him sit mid-field early and he’s a powerful type that won’t mind tracking deep and making ground in the run.
Race 11. 6.38PM victoolshop.com Grade 5 – 525 metres
#4 Halberd Bale – $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has had a tough run trailed off in his last four, but a dog of his class is due to bounce back to the form that saw him win in 30.20 here last month.
He’s gone even quicker in the past and can explode out of a middle-draw and dictate terms early in this one.
Race 12. 6.57PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Grade 5 – 525 metres
#2 Meehan Tommy – $4.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Did everything right except win last start, showing his customary early dash to be right on the speed he just weakened slightly late.
He’s putting consecutive starts together at The Meadows for the first time and will run out the 525 metres sooner rather than later.
