The Meadows Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 4.19PM Home of the Phoenix Grade 7 – 525 metres
#2 Romy Riccarton – Bet @ Sportsbet
This bitch has been thrown around a bit early in her career most recently tried over the six hundred which brought her a maiden win.
She was jumping much better over the middle-distance and that looks to have translated back to her sprinting races, a strong second at Sandown last start indicating she’s ready to win again.
Race 2. 4.36PM KCR Pet Transport Mixed 6/7 – 525 metres
#6 Orson Mick – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another young chaser finding his way but he’s putting together a strong body of work never missing the money in five career starts.
He’s lightning up the straight at Healsville and has brought those same box manners to the circle, should lead this for fun and will be stronger third time over the five hundred metres.
Race 3. 4.52PM thephoenix.melbourne Grade 6 – 525 metres
#7 Boston Garden – Bet @ Sportsbet
Deserves another chance after a rare misfire last week getting tangled up early from box five and never finding daylight, isn’t used to losing and can atone.
Has two wins and two placings in five starts and has shown he can run a strong 525 and put himself in a position early to win a race just like this one.
Race 4. 5.12PM TAB Long May We Play Grade 5 – 525 metres
#8 Lucky Lance – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been airborne since arriving in Victoria, the former Queenslander boasts strong form wherever he’s gone and is stepping up to the challenge on each occasion.
He finds a good one here in Riccarton Rick, but left to his own devices from box eight should come up decent value and has sustained speed in the middle and late stages of his races.
Race 5. 5.34PM Download the Watchdog App Grade 5 – 525 metres
#2 Meehan Tommy – Bet @ Sportsbet
At his best he’s the class runner of the field here, recent from is far from encouraging but another low box gives himself a chance at redemption and a first Meadows win.
A lot of his rivals are far more adept around the one turn tracks, he’s got the experience edge on both and with a touch of luck early is a danger.
Race 6. 5.52PM Houdini Boy at Stud Mixed 4/5 – 600 metres
#3 Fernando Frank – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has always been a good dog but has found a new level recently, after a string of placings he’s put together back-to-back slashing wins in good time at Sandown and The Meadows and shoots for three here.
This company is no tougher than those previous races, expect him to rail hard early and find plenty late.
Race 7. 6.15PM TAB Venue Mode Final 3-6 Wins – 525 metres
#1 Coterie – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been a model of consistency in his young career already notching up seven wins in under twenty starts.
Is not brilliant in any of facet but does everything well and always seems to run around the 30.30 mark here at The Meadows winning in that time from this draw a few starts ago, should capitalize on inexperienced runners.
Race 8. 6.34PM 84 Days Until the Phoenix Mixed ¾ – 525 metres
#2 Earn the Answers – Bet @ Sportsbet
We’ve tipped him in this race the last two weeks and while not winning he hasn’t let us down, cruelled by middle draws and tougher fields he’s been game running in the placings.
From this draw he should land right on the bunny and is extending in his races better than ever before, one of the better bets of the night.
Race 9. 7.00PM Cookes Electrical and Air Conditioning Grade 5 – 525 metres
#3 Chop Scotch – Bet @ Sportsbet
On form alone you couldn’t back him but read a bit deeper and he’s been stuff in tough company tackling the likes of Sandown record holder Aston Rupee.
Can respond against this field, comes up with a plumb draw where he’s won from before and has shown as recently as last month a sub thirty second run is well within his reach.
Race 10. 7.18PM Gorski Tippers and Trailers Grade 5 – 525 metres
#7 Party Lights – Bet @ Sportsbet
A well credentialled middle distance dog she’s got up in grade recently and struggled for form, back to the sprint in a small field might be just the tonic.
No real pace outside should see her cruise across and as long as she’s happy to camp a couple off the fence should keep making ground in the run.
Race 11. 7.38PM 38 Days Until the Top Gun Grade 5 – 525 metres
#6 Frank’s Girl – Bet @ Sportsbet
Is a seriously good five hundred metre dog, more known for his Sandown runs until this point in his career but there’s no reason he can’t emulate some of that form at The Meadows.
Has always been a lid pinger and with a vacant inside him should be able to dictate affairs to his rivals from the front.
Race 12. 8.00PM victoolshop.com Grade 5 – 525 metres
#8 Run Machine – Bet @ Sportsbet
The kennel have put together a perfect preparation for his first expedition over the 525 metres, a winner at Healsville and then Shepparton he’s ready for the test.
Has no problem getting over from wide draws on the shorts and should make light work of the eight box here.
