Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.09PM NSW GBOTA Welcome Grade 5 – 520 metres
#1 Opinions – $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has done a great job to win races and be effective from wide draws when he’s an out and out railer, a recent win in 29.96 here and a good third last week look good form for this race.
He won’t kill you with early speed but is well and truly capable of holding the rail and if he does get headed will continue to punch on behind the leaders.
Race 2. 6.29PM Lest we Forget Grade 5 – 520 metres
#2 Zipping Stewie – $2.10 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Comes up at a short price again but he deserves it after his fifth with at track and trip from seven tries last week, looked in trouble throughout the run spotting the leader five lengths down the back but continued to work and nailed it on the line.
With his early muster should get a much easier time of it from box two not having to cover extra ground and whether he leads of takes the sit will be hitting the line.
Race 3. 6.47PM Thanks Kat & Jason Non-Graded – 720 metres
#4 Zipping Niseko – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
We’re seeing her develop as a top line stayer each week, a month ago she had to lead by lengths to be any chance of holding on, now in races like last week she is coming from behind to track a dog like Prim and Proper down.
She should be able to press forward from the middle-draw and either lead or get the camp on Prim and Proper again, Let’s See can threaten but tends to place more than she wins.
Race 4. 7.07PM Baker’s Association of Australia Mixed 4/5 – 520 metres
#6 Romantic Storm – $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Love what this dog has been doing lately, just three starts ago was racing over the four hundred at Richmond and since has won in 30.58 over the 535 at Richmond and come here last week and blown them out of the water going 29.83.
There’s no doubt this is a step up in class and he won’t get it all his own way with the Likes of Dip It In drawn outside, but purely on form deserves consideration at the price.
Race 5. 7.28PM Get Your Greyhound On Grade 5 – 520 metres
#1 Irinka Molly – $1.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Jack Smith’s kennel is one fire and this bitch is a huge part of it, stepped up to fifth grade company for the first time last week and promptly put them away in 29.72 from the inside draw.
She can begin better than she did last week and if she holds them out around the first turn the race is effectively over with her run home times.
The quote is skinny but she’s a chaser on the rise while many of these have already found their ceiling.
Race 6. 7.50PM Mirror Booth Australia Grade 5 – 520 metres
#7 Sizzle Fly – Bet @ Sportsbet
No other dog in this field has won a race at Wentworth Park, Sizzle Fly broke through at his fifth try last start setting the first section and not looking back from this same draw last week in 30.16.
Has been knocking on the door before that running 29.94 in defeat, confidence should be sky high and he should have the wood on these.
Race 7. 8.13PM Sterling Graphic Design 1-3 Wins Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Cawbourne Turvy – Bet @ Sportsbet
Will likely fly under the radar and come up at a very backable price here, only has the one win in his short career and it wasn’t here but what was here was a 29.94 effort from box six behind Road Home last start.
The dog did just about everything right, beginning well from a middle draw, tacking on in the middle stages and driving to the line, he’ll only improve on what he’s done.
Race 8. 8.36PM Gold Cup Coming Up Free for All – 520 metres
#2 Jungle Deuce – Bet @ Sportsbet
Don’t expect much value from this emerging superstar but you’d be mad to tip against him the way he’s going, winning the New Sensation in 29.31 and backing up the next week first time in Free for All grade going 29.49.
Is a mad railer and the way he’s been beginning can get across Winlock on Top early and go through his gears in the run.
Punters might like to multi him up with the kennel mate Irinka Molly who we tipped earlier on.
Race 9. 8.58PM Thank You Stud Masters Grade 5 – 520 metres
#5 Black Chilli – Bet @ Sportsbet
Deserves another chance despite striking out the last few weeks, his racing pattern is to et back and storm home and naturally there and some races when he simply doesn’t get a run at them.
Is still chasing his heart out and just needs the breaks go his way to the first turn and his middle and closing sectionals will be lengths better than these.
Race 10. 9.20PM Where Else But Wenty? Grade 5 – 520 metres
#1 Aston Reward – Bet @ Sportsbet
Is due a win and reward for effort finishing fourth behind Jungle Deuce in the New Sensation and second in this company a fortnight ago, comes up with the plumb draw and it’s make or break time.
Two wins and two minors from four tries out of the one including his only win here a 29.9 effort tha would see him handle business here.
