Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.44PM TAB Golden Easter Egg Prelim 1– 520 metres
#4 Weblec Pirl – $2.25 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Former Victorian bitch from the powerful Angela Langton kennel, has been in New South Wales since the new year and has started to come into his own at Wentworth Park with a 29.93 win a few starts back.
Was third to up and coming star Jungle Deuce last time out which is a great form line and is not bothered by squeeze draws a four time winner from boxes four and five, expect her to be handy early and a bit too quick for a veteran field.
Race 2. Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Prelim 2 – 520 metres
#4 Sierra Moon – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
A really solid performer here at Wentworth Park rarely runs a bad race and ran a good one last week behind best eight commodity Shanjo Prince who ran sizzling time to beat her.
Has been up in Free for All company in quite some time and is well and truly used to racing this class of dog, vacant box in the three should help her find a spot early along with a consistent 5.5 first section.
Race 3. 7.24PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Prelim 3 – 520 metres
#4 Fantastic Victor – $2.25 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Young dog on the up has a fifty percent strike rate here winning four from eight always in and around the thirty second barrier.
Endured a tough run last week after a win over the sprint at Nowra, was parked in the cheap seas from box seven and never got a look in, the six dog field here should really benefit him with plenty of space to operate from the middle of the line.
It’s a Rush in the eight is strong but first up at the track and not drawn well.
Race 4. 7.43PM Asher Fitchett’s Last Dash Mixed 4/5 – 520 metres
#2 Aston Zodiac – $2 – Bet @ Sportsbet
This daughter of Fernando Bale has been a winning machine over her career seventeen in the bank and she’s still got plenty of racing left, her latest effort a 30.10 Free for All win here at Wentworth Park.
Can win out of any box but her record is markedly better near the fence, has the pace to beat out Hundred Degrees in the one and get on the lure and humming, has run 29.83 from the same draw here late last year.
Race 5. 8.00PM Happy Lunar New Year Grade 5 – 720 metres
#7 Double Bluff – $1.75 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Asked to take a short price about this blossoming stayer but the quote reflects the talent of the dog who’s two from two at track and distance and looks an out and out stayer after just ten career starts for the Jason Mackay kennel.
Wins his races as a front running stayer grinding them into the ground and with the slowly served Ninja Queen in six he’ll get every chance to rush across from the seven and take control, his best time already well and truly quicker than his rivals here.
Race 6. 8.23PM Congratulations Sydney Sixers Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Zulu Walk – $15 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hard ask tipping a dog who’s only won two races in her thirty-six start career but this isn’t a deep race and current form must come into account and Zulu Walk boasts three consecutive placings in winning times here.
Has room to operate with a vacant in box five if generally not far off the leaders and if she gets it right could even take the front, much rather the double digit quote on an each-way basis in this race.
Race 7. 9.02PM Kyle Da Silva Superbuck Mixed ¾ – 520 metres
#1 Zipping Sapporo – $1.55 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another shorty who should just be winning, the daughter of Aston Dee Bee has been outstanding since her debut winning five from seven at the rack and seven from nine overall for in form trainer Luke Adams.
Has had a slight let up since winning the Group One National Futurity three weeks ago but is drawn for more success here, can lead of take a sit and power over the top.
Race 8. 9.22PM ONTHECLOCK.COM.AU Grade 5 – 520 metres
#1 Aston Excalibur – $1.75 – Bet @ Sportsbet
It looks a night for the favourites and you can’t deny Aston Excalibur’s claims here, is winning at a fifty percent strike rate over his career and crucially comes up with the red here where he’s won four from six with two minors.
Has won races here over the five hundred metres in good time and can also drop back to he shorter sprint trips and win, should be leading all the way here.
Race 9. Congratulations Jodie Hawkins Grade 5 – 520 metres
#7 Crawl – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Can mix his form but his best puts him right in the frame here, has won three races at the track with a best of 29.98 and has done so from wide box draws.
Vacant box inside and Cumbria Jim in the five he should follow her across and is the stronger of the two if he can secure that good run.
Race 10. 10.02PM RCR Syndications Grade 5 – 520 metres
#7 Surprise Baby – $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Talented type looks suited here from the outside draw, she’s won five of her six races when drawn from box six or wider, her win here coming from box eight in a solid 30.15 clip.
Can take a while to find top gear but knows how to avoid trouble around the first turn and will finish with a flourish.
