Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
—
Race 1. 6.40PM GBOTA Welcome Grade 5 – 520 metres
#8 Fence Lady – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks a good each-way hope in a very open race, it’s going to come down to execution and if she can ping the lids like she’s been doing over the four hundred metres at Richmond she’ll be tough to hold out from box eight.
Has won two of three from the draw and has also been to Wentworth Park three times her best a solid 30.11 runner-up performance just a fortnight ago.
Race 2. 6.59PM Enjoy a Night out at WP Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Mack Boy – $2.25 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Broke through for his first win a track and trip last start winning in 30.18, but he’s been knocking at the door for some time running consistently around that mark from a range of boxes.
That versatility gives him the sight edge over fellow favourite Sound of Silence who’s needed inside draws to run well here and doesn’t have the advantage of a vacant box to the outside as Mack Boy does.
Race 3. 7.19PM Ladbrokes Back Yourself Golden Easter Egg Prelude 1 – 520 metres
#8 Shanjo Prince – $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Veteran Wentworth Park chaser who’s never been afraid to test himself against the best here often running into placings behind Group stars.
Comes up with his ideal box here in the eight, he’s a wide runner and generally comes with a swooping finish.
Not traditionally a good jumper but has been getting out a lot quicker recently, including a race he won and led from box eight here earlier this month.
Race 4. 7.39PM Ladbrokes Cash In Golden Easter Egg Prelude 2 – 520 metres
#1 Fantastic Victor – $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has always been impressive here winning five of his ten starts but has gone to a new level his last couple of runs chasing home the in form It’s a Rush before smoking them by five lengths last week, running 29.89 from box five.
He’s undefeated in his career off box won and has won three of four from the two, should relish drawing the inside and has shown the recent early pace to burn these off.
Race 5. 8.03PM Going to the Dogs Grade 5 – 720 metres
#7 Funky Ethics – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Is one of only a couple in this field that’s won in good time over this trip and has ten starts to his name up over the seven hundred, he won’t get found out late where others will.
Won’t blow them away but if he can find a good spot in running from box seven will continue to pick up ground with sustained speed, looks over the odds.
Race 6. 8.20PM Get Your Name Here 1-3 Wins Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 One Dimension – $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Big wraps on this chaser who Mark Forner gets to Wentworth Park nice and early after some slashing performances at Dapto, most recently a 29.78 winner spearing straight to the front from the three.
Is clearly bred to get the five hundred and if he’s on his toes will hold the speed off outside him and get across in inside quartet who are not as smart as him early.
Race 7. 8.38PM Sponsor a Race at Wenty 1-3 Wins Grade 5 – 520 metres
#2 Zambora Zipper – $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Got a rare trip away from Wentworth Park where he’s done most of his racing in his young career and ran a big race at Richmond running out the 535 metres with gusto just missing out on the win.
Steel Pulse in the one has a tonne of early speed but stopped in his tracks late last week, that’s when Zambora Zipper will be doing his best work.
Race 8. 8.59PM Ladbrokes Odds Boost 1-3 Wins Grade 5 – 520 metres
#7 Polarising – $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Last run here was a right off in open company never caught a break from box three and was probably out of his class, back to restricted grade looks very enticing each-way.
Is a 30.07 winner here the quickest of this field and has only missed the money that one occasion at track and trip, if he goes 5.5 early from box seven he’ll go close to leading these and knows his way to the line.
Race 9. 9.21PM It’s Gong to be Glorious Grade 5 – 520 metres
#3 Knight’s Page – $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Versatile veteran who’s still racing in great form over multiple distances, good results over the short course and middle-distance lately it looks the perfect time to bring him to headquarters for a race like this.
Is a reliable beginner from just about anywhere, but will at least match these early and should find himself in a nice position from the draw.
Race 10. 9.45PM Where Else But Wenty? Grade 5 – 525 metres
#7 Barbaresco – $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Drawn to succeed for a second straight week here, won a mixed fourth/fifth grade last week and finds himself in a fifth grade this week and jumps from box seven again.
If he can repeat his quick start and 30.14 gallop he’ll be taking home his second win in as many starts.
