Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.34PM NSW GBOTA Welcome Grade 5 – 520 metres
#8 Dip It In – $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
One start for one win here at headquarters, was impressive from box eight saying out of trouble early and working his way to the top, a slid 30.20 gallop.
Looks a race devoid of early speed and if he can bring his 4.46 early split again should shoot away from his main rivals in six and seven early and third up over the five hundred find a few lengths to the line.
Race 2. 6.52PM Good Luck Group Finalists Free for All – 520 metres
#5 Zipping Vernon – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
There are some better credentialled runners here, but with the draw the way it is he should get a charmed run from box five.
Sunburnt Highway in the six likes to run up the track and should inconvenience Do It in the seven while Nangar Kash will be crashing down from box eight.
Vernon was a good winner from the same draw last week he should get plenty of room to wind up and get a head start.
Race 3. 7.12PM NSW GBOTA The Collerson/The Consolation – 520 metres
#3 Simon Told Helen – $1.75 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Australia’s greyhound of the year wasn’t quite able to cross as Zulu Warlord left him trapped wide in the heats last week, good sign he’s sticking around and should be better for the run.
His career record and talent speak for themselves and despite a raft of talented locals here if he musters like he usually does from the three it should be a one act affair.
Race 4. 7.33PM Ladbrokes Switch Maiden Final – 520 metres
#2 Jungle Deuce – $1.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Ray Smith only brings them to town this early when he knows he’s got something special.
This dog won on debut here 30.09 first start and had a nice tune up at Bathurst leading into this run, on both of those occasions he came up with the two as he does here and struck the front nice and early.
Race 5. 7.57PM Ladbrokes National Futurity Final Group 1 – 520 metres
#3 Zipping Sapporo – $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has built a stunning early record here at the track and trip six starts for four wins and she saved her best for the big occasion last week with a sizzling 29.61 win where she was never in any danger of being caught.
It’ll be on early all of these have speed, but it’s doubtful if they’re able to maintain her 5.38 first split and back it up with a strong run home, draws box three third week running.
Race 6. 8.17PM NSW GBOTA Summer Distance Plate – 720 metres
#1 Stanley Road – $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was the run of the heats last week despite not quite tracking Run Like Jess down on the line, he gave her a huge start one of the last out from box seven he came screaming home to run 41.92, clearly the quickest run home.
Comes up with the one this week, he’ll still get behind a few of these but should find the fence and along with Blazing Cartier will be the ones doing their best work at the business end of the race.
Race 7. 8.38PM National Derby Final Group 1 – 520 metres
#7 Weblec Jet – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
It was essentially a training run in his heat and he led them by five out of the straight and only built on that going through the gears in the run on his way to 29.79, first look under race conditions.
Obviously much tougher in the final this week, but he’s a dog who loves box seven, should beat Eagles Nest Egg out and find his way to the front where he’ll be mighty hard to track down running time on the arm third up at track and trip.
Race 8. 8.58PM Ladbrokes Paws of Thunder Final – 520 metres
#7 Unison – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Wow and Incapacitated and garnering most of the market attention here after there sizzling heat wins, but Unison’s time was only a coupe of lengths behind and given his record, five from six at his home track the price is enticing each way.
He goes consistently 5.4 to the first mark here and has no problem with wide draws, Vicki’s Queen will give him plenty of in box six crashing for the fence where Wow could find trouble, stick with the local.
Race 9. 9.19PM Where Else But Wenty? Mixed 4/5 – 520 metres
#2 Memphis Keeping – $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The Victorian couldn’t quite find his way across in the National Derby heats from box seven last week, but in a good sign for this assignment stuck on well for a closing fourth.
Is much better suited to box two where he’s put sizzling time on the board at home, if he can go with Fire on Ice early has the class to get the better of him in this grade.
Race 10. 9.42PM THEDOGS.COM.AU Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Sarita – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another boom young bitch from the Lord kennel has already shown her potential a three-time winner here with a 29.86 best.
Has won from middle and wide draws before in that run of wins and in an open fifth grade where there are no real standouts she looks great value at the price, will just need a touch of luck around the first turn to figure.
