Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.02PM NSW GBOTA 1-3 Wins Grade 5 – 520 metres
#1 Zipping Panama – Bet @ Sportsbet
The penny has dropped for this chaser a winner of one from thirteen before his last two starts at Wentworth Park where he’s come out and brained them in some handy time to boot.
Meets a talented chaser in the seven here, who’s still very raw, inside box, good form, happy to back him in for his third on the trot.
Don’t panic if he’s not leading early, it’s not really his go, he’ll hug the rail and build up momentum towards the post.
Race 2. 6.22PM Check IN mandatory 1-3 Wins Grade 5 – 520 metres
#7 Zipping Alabama – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another huge talent out of the Finn kennel who keep producing top line dogs, this son of Superior Panama has made a serious impact his first five starts winning three and finishing in the minors the other two.
A pair of those wins came over the 535 at Richmond where he flew around the joint in 30.78 and 30.62, times well beyond his years.
Found some trouble from box eight on debut here last week but like the good dog he is didn’t let it hamper him and kept coming for a win, similar draw and field eh can do it again.
Race 3. 6.39PM Ladbroke It 1-3 Wins Grade 5 Final – 520 metres
#2 Zipping Ontario – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another Finn runner who gets in beautifully with the graders here, is well and truly beyond restricted win races but with only two to his name is still eligible.
Is not the easiest dog to watch can be slow away, but give him clear air any time in the run and he’ll show off his huge motor which lead him to victory here in 30.05 last start.
Comes up with the checks which should suit his style, find a spot on the rail and continue to pick of runners throughout the race.
Race 4. 7.02PM Congratulations Cam Davis Grade 5 – 520 metres
#8 Jackpot Josie – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has come up with the perfect draw to win the early speed battle here with plenty of toe in boxes one and two, with any luck they’ll annoy each other early giving this bitch the ideal run across.
Is a winner of five from six in the pink rug, over the short course and here at Wentworth Park, couple that with 5.48 early and you’ve got a contender.
Race 5. 7.18PM Practise Safe Social Distance Grade 5 – 520 metres
#3 Five Second Rule – Bet @ Sportsbet
Astounding this dog hasn’t won here at headquarters yet given some of the performances he’s produced, has always made a slight error of found one better, but at start lucky thirteen he looks poised for success.
Big run to just miss out behind the in form Pikachu Wave last week running 29.95 in the process, draws box three where he’s won four of his five career starts.
The only knockout hope in the race in Black Chilli in the seven who’ll be tearing home but will be giving up lengths on this dog early.
Race 6. 7.37PM Brook Group Mixed 4/5 – 520 metres
#8 Highly Effective – Bet @ Sportsbet
Had been mixing his distances and tracks of late and it hasn’t been working well out the back at Bathurst and Richmond, but got back to his ideal trip at the five hundred last start and walked away a 29.93 winner.
Is a rapid beginner especially from the wide draws, a 5.42 first section from box six and a high strike rate from surrounding boxes.
Sassy Ethics in the seven is quick early and will give him a cart but he’s much stronger in the run.
Race 7. 8.02PM Congrats Steph Kyriacou Grade 5 – 520 metres
#7 Good Odds Cash – Bet @ Sportsbet
You probably won’t get good odds about this chaser, but he certainly deserves his short price tag a tremendous start to his career yielding seven wins from eleven starts.
Built up through the distances at Bulli before coming to the city where he struck out his first two runs before a breathtaking 29.7 performance here last start.
Is a two-time winner from box eight and stepped in 5.46 early last week, a recipe for success.
Race 8. 8.21PM thedogs.com.au Grade 5 – 520 metres
#2 Fun Day Friday – Bet @ Sportsbet
Doesn’t win out and turn but is as honest as they come, lining up for career start forty-one at Wentworth Park this Saturday night and he’s still consistently around the money.
All five of his race wins have come here along with his ten minors, tends to run between 30.1 and 30.3 each week which will be competitive here, loves box two as well, two of his voctories coming from the draw.
Race 9. 8.40PM health.nsw.gov.au Grade 5 – 520 metres
#8 Saucy Smile – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has the talent to get over and into a really nice position from box eight, her career record in the outside boxes is exceptional and her first section well and truly quicker than those inside her.
Doesn’t have to completely burn them of early can sit outside the leaders and continue to run on, has seen the track and trip over twenty-times, knows what she’s doing.
Race 10. 8.57PM wentworthpark.com.au Masters 1/2/3 – 50 metres
#4 Shanjo Prince – Bet @ Sportsbet
Would prefer him drawn outside the speed of Sunburnt Highway in the five but he’s that quick out he probably crosses Shanjo Prince without any interference.
Shanjo will be well back early and if Sunburnt Highway gets an uncontested lead he’ll be hard to beat, but the former has been racing in much tougher company and will be flashing late against the older dogs.
