Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.09PM GBOTA Welcome Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Khatanga Bay – $2.50 – Bet Now
Missed the start and was never a winning hope on debut here, but if you can forgive that run his wins at Bulli where he has shown excellent box manners have been impressive and the strong form has been recent too.
Gets the chance to get it right at the start this week, no lighting beginners in this race and a vacant box outside should see him every chance second up.
Race 2. 6.28PM Ladbrokes Back Yourself Grade 5 – 520 metres
#3 Old Mate Kobey – $1.75 – Bet Now
The favourite gets the nod here at a pretty skinny quote but the progressive son of Barcia Bale looks to have the good two from two at track and trip in his short career.
Built up well to his Wentworth Park runs with subsequent races at Richmond and Bathurst showing plenty of talent and he didn’t disappoint at Wenty.
30.05 has been his winning time on both occasions with a 5.5 first section, the one to beat.
Race 3. 6.47PM ‘GOING TO THE DOGS’ On Sale Now Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Magic Awaits – $4 – Bet Now
Looks set to break his Wentworth Park duck at start number nine at the track, form elsewhere has been outstanding has always found one better here at the track.
Generally, displays good box manners and has gone 5.46 here in the past which should see him lead this lot and off the back of a good fitness run at Richmond looks ripe for the occasion.
Race 4. 7.07PM Thanks and Good Luck Gail Thorsby Grade 5 – 720 metres
#6 Sorry Scott – $2.80 – Bet Now
One placing from four starts over the staying journey doesn’t fill you with confidence with this bitch, but renowned trainer of stayers Michael Eberand has stuck to his guns with her here at Wentworth Park and it’s starting to pay dividends.
Much more forward in her last run behind Pearl of Tahiti which is going to be crucial here because she was closing on the Free For All dog late and clocked 42.27.
Fifth time in she gets her chance here and should deliver a forward showing.
Race 5. 7.30PM Where Else But Wenty? Mixed 4/5 – 520 metres
#3 Forners Flame – $2.80 – Bet Now
This bitch can be hit of miss but when she hits it’s lights out for her rivals with a best of 29.68 around here, can go forward early, extend in the middle stages and hit the line.
Inside draw is crucial here races much better drawn close to the fence, if she can head of Drink Moet of at least stick with it from box one early she can run time the other dogs can’t.
Race 6. 7.48PM Ladbrokes Switch Final Non-Graded Series – 520 metres
#2 Aston Lee – $2.20 – Bet Now
Staved off a similar field last week after getting away well, but he can get away even quicker, if he finds that 5.4 early speed he’s the one to beat again in this field.
Ritza Coen in the four had every chance to run him down last start and couldn’t get there, Aston Lee is only having his fourth start at the track and looks more comfortable with each run, happy to stay with winning form.
Race 7. 8.07PM Greyhound Racing Review Open Grade 5 – 520 metres
#8 Ritza Fire – $3.50 – Bet Now
Ticks a lot of boxes, racing in career best form, handles a wide box, good record at the track and should get a lovely trail across from the eight to lead these.
Confidence is high after a 29.96 win from box seven last week a draw she’s won three from four from, has never had the eight but if he musters in similar fashion expect the same result.
Race 8. 8.30PM Keep Your Distance Grade 5 – 520 metres
#7 Cumbria Lad – $1.35 – Bet Now
No prizes for picking this jet on top he’s simply a cut above his rivals here, but punters confident looking at multiples could couple him with Ebby Jet Power in the next who looks just as good a bet.
First win at Wentworth Park last week in 29.74 after missing the start and using a lot of the track, outside draw should suit him even better he’ll be chiming into the race at the right time.
Race 9. 8.53PM WENTWORTHPARK.COM.AU Free For All – 520 metres
#5 Ebby Jet Power – $1.55 – Bet Now
Wasn’t quite able to cross from box eight in the Group One Vic Peters Last week where he was a big player.
Good sign to see him straight back into action the following week the dog is clearing still flying after his 29.51 effort two starts ago.
His biggest challenge in this race is the old champ Blue Moon Rising from box one who drops from the staying trip back to the sprint, he could take some ground off late, but the race should be all but over.
Race 10. 9.17PM Fastest Racing on Four Legs Grade 5 – 520 metres
#7 No More Partying – $2.50 – Bet Now
Has been as consistent as they come over his last five starts, only out of the placings once at Wentworth Park otherwise treading around the thirty second mark.
No immediate pace to his inside and no box eight he should get across and sit behind the speed dogs who can’t run a good three split race like he can.
