Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.09PM GBOTA Welcome Grade 5 – 520 metres
#1 Masika – $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
This talented young bitch will be relieved to see an inside box after drawing five or wider her last five outings, she won two of those but has found it tough going up in class her last few starts.
Has raced here previously without a huge amount of success, just the one placing but both those runs were from unsuitable boxes and from the red here she should get to show why she’s won five of her first nine starts.
Race 2. 6.28PM Ladbroke It! Grade 5 – 520 metres
#1 Miss Emzae – $1.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Perhaps look at a race to race multi with these first two favourites, Miss Emzae looks a star in the making from Jack Smith’s gun Barcia Bale Zegati litter she’s been a bit slower coming to hand, but wins at Bathurst and Dubbo have come in scintillating time.
Frist look here at the track but no doubt she’s trialled here in the past few months when her kennel mates have been racking up the wins on a Saturday night, should jump to the lead and run them ragged.
Race 3. 6.47PM In Memory of Don’t Tell Rez Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Manipulate – $11 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Plenty of unknowns in this race with a couple of handy types having their first start here after excelling at Goulburn, you normally like to see them have a race run here before you back them.
Manipulate looks a dog who’s over the odds here, has a dozen starts around here for a couple of wins and four minors and is never far away.
Has raced well recently behind Black Chilli from wide draws and should follow the speed in box three across to the rail and you know he’ll run the trip.
Race 4. 7.07PM GWIC Rego Renewal Due June 30 Grade 5 – 520 metres
#5 Trunkey Rose – $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
It’s always a boost for a chaser when they’re drawn outside Sizzle Fly at Wentworth Park, the mad railer has a habit of crashing left out of the boxes and taking a few with him on his inside, this should give the talented Trunkey Rose the perfect trail into the race.
A winner of eleven of twenty starts she knows how to find the line and has done most of her damage at Bulli.
Did come here once last year but was still very young, second time around should be ready.
Race 5. 7.30PM Where Else But Wenty> Grade 5 – 520 metres
#3 Rev up Rob – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
This dog has burnt punters on more than one occasion running four placings from his four starts here at Wentworth Park, each run he’s shown just enough to back him next time out.
Was flushed into the cheap seats at the first turn last week and rattled home to within a couple of lengths of the winner, just needs a bit of luck to the first turn and his massive motor should take over down the stretch.
Race 6. 7.53PM GWIC.NSW.GOV.AU/Renewals Grade 5 – 520 metres
#2 Impress Lleyton – $2.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Willing to roll with the equal favourite over his more experienced opponent Kotoni Banner here, they’re boxed alongside each other and with the two dogs speed I think he can just get the better of the other dog in the run to the first turn.
He’s been leading for fun in Free for All company at Maitland and Richmond competing with the likes of Ebby Infrared.
First time over the five hundred but he should be able to get far enough in front to get a bit tired late and hang on.
Race 7. 8.13PM Ladbrokes Easy Form Grade 5 – 520 metres
#8 Aston Reward – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been kicking goals over the middle-distance at Richmond and Dapto his last few starts, a second and two wins leading into this, he has the versatility to chop and change between distances.
Before those runs over the six hundred he was a winner here in 29.92 showing good race sense to get a sit of the leaders and using her superior strength.
Has done well from box eight in the past, just have to hope he’s not pushed too far off at the first turn.
Race 8. 8.30PM Get Your Greyhound On Mixed 4/5 – 520 metres
#4 Maldini – $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
More than happy to dip into this chaser at the juicy each-way quote, has excellent credentials here at track and trip a five-time winner who’s run 29.79 at his best, can also mix it over the short course and middle-distance.
Has shown throughout his career despite not being the best box dog he can win from any draw and the four shouldn’t present a problem, is only getting better with age.
Race 9. 8.50PM Greyhound Of The Year Awards June 27 Free for All – 520 metres
#2 Wow – $1.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
This superstars record speaks for itself a nineteen time winner including eight from twelve here at Wentworth Park he’s arguably one of the best greyhounds in New South Wales and this looks the perfect preparation for the Brisbane Winter Carnival.
Bones McCoy may pressure him for the lead early from box four but he should hold the rail and is much stronger than that up and coming chaser and a bit too speedy for the rest of this quality field.
Race 10. 9.13PM Ladbrokes Switch Masters – 520 metres
#7 Boscono – $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Talented bitch who’s been dominating in Master’s grade up in Queensland, does a lot right, is solid out of the boxes, but her best asset is her run home having been a former stayer.
Is she can offset the box with a touch of early pace to get around the leaders expect her to get the better of this field in the run home.
