Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.07PM GBOTA Welcome Grade 5 – 520 metres
#1 Zipping Demand – Bet @ Sportsbet
This son of Aston Dee Bee hasn’t taken long to come to hand winning his first five career starts, but a step up in grade and a trip to Wentworth Park has seen him out of the money his last three.
Gets some much-needed relief with the box draws moving from out wide to the rail where he’s done his best work, going at one hundred percent when boxed in the one of the two.
Look for him to take a commanding spot in the run early, has the talent to sit behind them and run on as well.
Race 2. 6.27PM Ladbroke It! 1-3 Wins Grade 5 Final – 520 metres
#7 General Payton – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has made a very promising start to his Wentworth Park career, won a debut in a scintillating 29.83 backed up by a 30.04 win, missed out last time but is drawn for success here.
We’re on Lad in box six has been racing over the short course and looks desperate for the fence from box six giving him a back to follow into the race.
If he’s able to sit on pace has got these covered in terms on run home time.
Race 3. 6.47PM Congrats Mel and Burnsy Grade 5 – 520 metres
#6 Silver Image – Bet @ Sportsbet
This bitch is yet to break her duck at track and trip after five attempts but hasn’t put in a bad run and has collided with some very handy types, this looks a tad easier, and she should be right around the mark.
She ra second to Collecting Model, then Picture Frame and did so from a rails draw as well as box eight, she’s got some versatility at the start it’s just whether she has that killer instinct to finish it off.
Race 4. 7.05PM GWIC Renewal Due June 30 Grade 5 – 520 metres
#5 Magic Mavis – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another looking for her first city win and trainer Allen Ivers is pulling out all the stops giving her a solo trial last week where she stopped the clock at 30.19 in an effort to build her up after a couple of tough outings.
The time is more than respectable and hopefully she can take improvement into this race, before her run of outs here she was a back-to-back winner over the 560 metres at Muswellbrook, has plenty of power just needs a bit of luck at box rise.
Race 5. 7.29PM GWIc.NSW.GOV.AU/Renewals Grade 5 – 520 metres
#8 Masika – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was probably the performance of the night of last weeks card, drawn box one she speared out and put a five-length gap in the going down the back and was never in danger running time out in front clocking in at 29.79.
It was just her third outing track and trip and hopefully is the catalyst for many wins to come beginning this week where the eight looks another ideal draw.
She wanted to push up the track from box one and with no-one outside her in the eight should be able to wind up to that first corner.
Race 6. 7.50PM Welcome Leo Oliver Grade 5 – 520 metres
#7 Idle Ranger – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has mostly made his living on the country circuit racking up nine wins in quick time but does have credentials worthy of a city do as well, twice a winner here most recently falling to Free for All dog Shanjo Prince whilst running 30.02.
There are no dogs of the calibre in this race and from box seven where he’s won four times before his 5.5 early section should see him close to leading with a big chance to break through.
Race 7. 8.08PM Ladbrokes Easy Form Masters 1/2/3 – 520 metres
#8 Boscono – Bet @ Sportsbet
The visiting Queenslander speared out of the lids last week and looked like she’d been racing at Wentworth Park her whole life as she set the early section and careered away with the race in 30.06, a time competitive in tougher grade than this.
Meets the freak that’s Sunburnt Highway this week and even though he’s tough to tip against Boscono should be stalking him in the run and have plenty more value.
Race 8. 8.27PM Get Your Greyhound On Mixed ¾ – 520 metres
#2 Royal Emgrand – Bet @ Sportsbet
Never an easy watch when you’re on this dog, he begins well but then drifts back through the field before coming with an almighty surge around the first turn.
Given his racing patter he relies heavily on luck and seems to get some more often than not especially when taking inside runs.
Has last four starts are all runner-up performances, so he’s right around the mark and just needs a touch of luck to capitalize and go all the way.
Race 9. 8.57PM GOTY Awards 1-3 Wins Grade 5 – 520 metres
#2 Ultimate Coat – Bet @ Sportsbet
Mick Hardman looks to have another rising star on his hands with this dog, came through his grades very quickly at Goulburn showing explosive early speed and stepped up to city company last start where he was checked out of it in a learning experience.
Box two is a welcome relief, he’s got the pace the clear the one early and it’ll be good to see him open up out in front over the five hundred, in a restricted win race as well.
Race 10. 9.13PM Ladbrokes Switch 1-3 Wins Grade 5 – 520 metres
#3 Cawbourne Turvy – Bet @ Sportsbet
A last start win first out first home at Dapto beating the supremely talented Super Estrella reads as ideal form for a race like this despite his lack of success here.
He was right on the lure over the middle-distance and that can often give them he confidence to do the same over the sprint trip, if he’s close enough he’ll be god enough.
