Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.05PM TAB Golden Easter Egg Non-Graded Heat One – 520 metres
#2 Where’s Rocky – Bet @ Sportsbet
Supreme young local talent who’s ready to step up to the big stage in the Golden Easter Egg Heats holding a brilliant five from ten strike rate here at the track and trip.
There’s lots of speed drawn wide in this race but he’s well placed in the two where he should save ground and run down around his best of 29.73, is still improving.
Race 2. 6.22PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Non-Graded Heat Two – 520 metres
#8 Irinka Riley – Bet @ Sportsbet
It’s always going to be a tough ask with the fastest dog in Australia Aston Rupee in this race, but it did fail last time here at Wenty and Irinka Riley is a dog who’s tasted plenty of success.
May be wide early but with six hundred form up his sleeve will keep on coming for punters at a uicy each way price for gun trainer Jack Smith.
Race 3. 6.42PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Non-Graded Heat Three – 520 metres
#2 Equalizer – Bet @ Sportsbet
Great to see this Group One winning sprinter make a return to racing after a career threatening injury and he’s looked as imposing as ever with good results in his return.
Has been set for this race and gets a gun draw in the two where he will drift back early and fly through the field with his wicked run home.
Race 4. 7.02PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Non-Graded Heat Four – 520 metres
#1 Good Odds Emma – Bet @ Sportsbet
This is a big step up from anything she’s faced thus far, but she’s passed every test with flying colours and comes up with the red rug here which she’ll cherish.
Comes into this chock full on confidence a pair of wins and three seconds in her last five starts, will be giving them at sight at an enticing price.
Race 5. 7.26PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Non-Graded Heat Five – 520 metres
#8 Ties That Bind – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks a match race here with the appropriately named Wow a huge danger in box two, but Ties That Bind comes up the bigger price and is capable of anything around here.
A seven-time winner at Wenty in his young career he’ll do everything possible to cross the favourite and if not will ask him plenty of questions putting the pressure on in the run.
Race 6. 7.42PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Non-Graded Heat Six – 520 metres
#5 Showdown – Bet @ Sportsbet
This chaser has done most of his best work in Brisbane winning listed races at Albion Park and running some insane times around Ipswich, that form is recent as well and should carry over.
Early in his career has got a look at this track before and if he can beat Louis Rumble out who’s camped in box six is cherry ripe to pick up a signature win.
Race 7. 8.07PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Non-Graded Heat Seven – 520 metres
#8 She’s a Pearl – Bet @ Sportsbet
Some sort of talent this bitch, she’s knocked over ten of her first thirteen races here at track and trip running the hands off the clock with a 29.46 best that’s Group class time.
Loves a wide draw as well, has come up with the eight box four times and saluted on each occasion, the Lord kennel will have her set for this.
Race 8. 8.27PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Non-Graded Heat Eight – 520 metres
#4 Billy Creek – Bet @ Sportsbet
Probably been a little below his best that saw him go all the way to The TAB Phoenix Final last year but he’s a dog who can sense an occasion.
Could work out well for him here with plenty of pace inside he should drop to the rail in his favoured roll and continue to pick up ground on the rail.
Race 9. 8.46PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Non-Graded Heat Nine – 520 metres
#3 Boston Garden – Bet @ Sportsbet
Had an excellent time at Wentworth when he came up from Melbourne on the first occasion making a Group Final, he’s become a better dog since then and can feature here.
Lala Kiwi in four is the class of the race but could but cut off early but Hadouken coming across, which would give Boston Garden the best chance of finding the top.
Race 10. 9.06PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Non-Graded Heat Ten – 520 metres
#4 Fernando Hunter – Bet @ Sportsbet
Massive wrap for this young chaser, who despite striking out his last couple has some excellent form lines behind that which should hold up in Group company.
Can do it at both ends, a good beginner on his day, but his real strength is his middle and closing sections where he can really rattle off some time.
Race 11. 9.28PM It’s Going to be Glorious April 9th Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Kip Keeping – Bet @ Sportsbet
Here’s a dog who’s not quite ready for Group racing yet with just four starts under his belt, but is a name to watch in the future.
Has been highly touted and duly smoked them his first few starts and now gets his chance to stake him claim at headquarters.
Murphy is an absolute greyhound racing tragic. If he’s not eating or sleeping, he’s consuming as much greyhound content as he can get his hands on. Having worked as a greyhound racing journalist for more than 10 years, Murphy has an astute ability to match up various form lines to find the best value in each race he analyses and he enjoys nothing more than pulling off a huge plunge. As a greyhound owner himself, Murphy loves cheering home a live winner down the road at Albion Park or at the pub on Sky Racing, and he hopes to tip you a few winners too!
