Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. Kieron Middleton Bucks Night Cup Non-Graded – 720 metres
#6 Stanley Road – $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Left New South Wales to compete on the Group circuit in Victoria and showed that his best stacks up against anyone, comes back home an even better dog than when he left.
Has an innate field sense, wide box shouldn’t be a problem, starts to get going in the middle stages and always hits the line with gusto.
Race 2. 6.48PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Heat 1 – 520 metres
#6 Got the Torque – $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Absolutely flying in Victoria wherever he’s been recently he’s winning over the one turn and at the metropolitans, this is his toughest test, but he comes in chock full of confidence.
Has had the most career success out of box six with two recent wins at Sandown, Me Me Mia should take him into the race nicely where he should find a strength advantage late.
Race 3. 7.07PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Heat 2 – 520 metres
#5 Ritza Donald – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has flown under the radar in this race and comes up a juicy each way price, he’s a track and trip specialist winning eight races here and should be flying out from the five.
Set his personal best just a couple of weeks ago going 29.54 hustling across from a deep draw, well and truly capable of upsetting the favourites.
Race 4. 7.28PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Heat 3 – 520 metres
#6 Wow – $1.55 – Bet @ Sportsbet
One of the series favourites looks a good thing here, has always run his best time winding up from outside draws here and had Run Baba Run drawn directly inside who’ll be crashing to the fence.
Has the ability to lead but doesn’t necessarily have to, the price is short but that’s what you get for a 29.41 Wentworth Park dog.
Race 5. 7.48PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Heat 4 – 520 metres
#8 Incapacitated – $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Reigned supreme in the Richmond Derby, fantastic track sense getting him into a positive position and his big motor did the rest with two slick runs.
Goes just as well here, an eight-time winner who’s gone 29.46 in the past, only worry is the box he’s never won from the eight but has three wins to his name from seven.
Race 6. 8.09PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Heat 5 – 520 metres
#3 Mr. Fix It – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Back him in to take down the people’s dog Tommy Shelby here, the Victorian has had an extra week to acclimatise in Sydney and before that had won three out of four races in top company at the Meadows.
Boasts a great record from middle boxes, has been jumping like a bomb and will give them everything they can handle if he finds the front.
Race 7. 8.28PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Heat 6 – 520 metres
#6 Fernando Bluey – $2.25 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Stamped himself as a star finishing second in the recent Group One Australian Cup at The Meadows, he’s one of the quickest dogs out of the lids going around and only went down a lip to Tommy Shelby.
It’s as simple as bringing his box manners to Wentworth Park and should he lead this field has the strength of those Meadows runs to stay out in front from challengers like Super Estrella.
Race 8. 8.48PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Heat 7 – 520 metres
#4 Shima Shine – $1.75 – Bet @ Sportsbet
A sprinter with a motor like no other, if he’s able to clear them off the mat it’ll be times and margins for the recent Horsham Cup and Group One Gold Bullion winner.
Has been here to the track before for a pair of wins and a couple of placings, running a best of 29.48 against similar company to this.
Race 9. 9.07PM Ladbrokes Golden easter Egg Heat 8 – 520 metres
#1 Flying Ricciardo – $1.35 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The series favourite didn’t need any favours with the box draw but just for good measure the flying machine came up with box one where he savage acceleration should see him punch through and set up a margin mid-race.
Staggering twenty-one wins from twenty-five starts, seven for eight here at the track and a last start 29.35 winner, a race to race double with Shima Shine may boost the skinny odds.
Race 10. 9.30PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Heat 9 – 520 metres
#7 Aston Zodiac – $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
A local who’s been absolutely travelling of late, the form capped off with a 29.53 win leading in to the series, hasn’t had to deal with travel dramas he’ll be ready to go.
Led the speedy Avalanche here last start and on that guide should be able to muster across these and find the top.
Race 11. 9.50PM Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Heat 10 – 520 metres
#1 Vamos Penny – $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another track and trip specialist who’s been trained to the minute for this race, returned in brilliant fashion winning in 29.65 last start with searing box speed and gets the advantage of the inside here.
There’ll be plenty chasing her with hopes but the way she ran out the trip last start gives plenty of confidence she can measure up.
