Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.07PM GBOTA Welcome Grade 5 – 520 metres
#3 Chase Me Honey – $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Is yet to find any real consistency in her five starts but has shown flashes of brilliance and if she puts it all together strikes a very winnable race here.
Her one previous win came from a similar draw when she sat behind the leaders and ran on, then again two starts ago trailed a handy one home in 30.33, more than respectable for a bitch her age.
Mick Hardman brings them to town to win and clearly sees enough in this bitch that she’s city class.
Race 2. 6.37PM Ladbroke It! Grade 5 – 520 metres
#2 Cruiser Model – $1.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
A good learning experience last week coming here first up as an odds on favourite after racing around the one turn track at Goulburn.
Tried hard but was a bit all over the place in the run and it was a good effort to get up for third in the end.
Draws a lovely inside gate here and should use her short course speed to fire out to the lead, she’s bred to get the five hundred metres and should be winning here.
Race 3. 6.47PM Brook Group Grade 5 – 720 metres
#8 Dylan’s Magic – $3.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet
A couple of tricky six hundred metre races at Richmond his last two starts just haven’t fitted his skill set, he’s got too far back early and rattled home when it’s all over, both runs screaming seven hundred.
Has a ripping record here in the past twice a winner and three times in the money over the staying trip, also helps that he’s a fan of a wide box where he can sit one off and make up ground throughout the run.
Race 4. 7.05PM Locomotion Stakes grade 5 – 520 metres
#5 Rev Up Rob – $2 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Continues to impress without winning here in city class, was runner-up for the third week running last Saturday when he flew out of box eight and looked all out a winner until At The Mill slid up underneath him on the home turn.
The good news is he’s continually putting himself in winning positions and running smart time in doing so.
Finds a field of a lot of first timers and veterans here, he’s the one with the upside and it should be fourth time lucky.
Race 5. 7.29PM Ladbrokes Same race Multi Dogs Final grade 5 – 520 metres
#1 Lenny Fox – $9 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Underrated performance last week he served it right up to General Payton gaining ground on him in the run home and cutting his lead to less than a length at the post.
They meet again here and Lenny Fox not only comes up a better price but also finds the better box moving from seven to one, he’s had most of his success from the inside draws.
Was first up over the five hundred last start had been firing out at the sprint trips earlier and should use box one to his advantage here.
Race 6. 7.50PM Congrats Liz on Dual Gold Mixed 4/5 – 520 metres
#6 Shanjo Prince – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Have been waiting for this hot commodity to draw an outside box, has been tucked away on the rail of late and he’s the type of dog who likes to get out to the middle of the track and rattle off quick middle and closing sections often appearing from no-where.
Don’t panic if he’s out the back early he’s raced in much better company than this and had the motor to wind up and come with a finishing flourish, on his night he can ping the lids as well the quote is great value.
Race 7. 8.08PM Get Your Greyhound On Bitches Final Grade 5 – 520 metres
#2 Picture Frame – $1.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Did what she’s been threatening to do for a while now and came out and gave them a pasting last week, it was times and margins as she clocked 29.7 at start eleven while winning by more than five lengths.
Another one out of the Lord’s Fabregas/Princess Ellie litter who look like they’re going to tear through their grades here at Wentworth Park.
She does meet the older bitches here but if she does what she did last week they won’t hold a flame to the youngster.
Race 8. 8.27PM Where Else But Wenty? Free for All – 520 metres
#8 Winlock on Top – $4.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been going around in free for all company here as long as any dog not called Sunburnt Highway, is as professional as race dog as you’ll find doesn’t mind where he draws chases hard and finds a way to get it done.
Coast Model in the seven has found her box manners the last couple of starts and if he can hitch a ride across with her may have the superior motor if they’re able to get up near the leaders.
Race 9. 8.50PM Ladbrokes Easy Form Grade 5 – 520 metres
#8 Zipping Pearson – $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks a special at the price here, laid an egg from an inside draw last start but before that raced around here in 29.76 from box eight with a first section in the 5.4 range.
He’s a five-time winner here and you back him to forget about last week and get back to what he does best winning races at Wentworth Park.
Race 10. 9.08PM Team BAA Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Black Chilli – $2.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet
This super talent just dwelt at the start from box one last week and was never able to extract himself and come out after them with his turn of foot and willingness to chase.
Should get a good enough run here from the four, Sizzle Fly in three will crash to the fence allowing him to balance up and tear home.
