Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.29PM Get the Dog Cup Fifth Grade Heat One – 520 metres
#6 Sure She is – $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Happy to stick with her after last week where she did her best to get over from box eight but was hindered badly in the run.
Had been in career best form leading into that stringing victories together at Goulbourn, if she couples that confidence with a 5.43 first section this is her race.
Race 2. 6.49PM The Bocking Buck’s Cup Fifth Grade Heat Two – 520 metres
#6 Lock Master – $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hard to look past the favourite when a dog like Lock Master pops up in a fifth grade contest after winning in stunning fashion going 29.70 last week.
That was his third win from half a dozen attempts here at track and trip, he’s got a real affinity with the place and should prove a bit too quick for his competition here.
Race 3. 7.08PM Shano’s Last Stand Mixed ¾ – 520 metres
#8 Ziggy Star – $8.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
This is a good test for a greyhound on the rise, but still very surprised to see him come up at this price given the company he’s been racing in taking on some of the best in recent Wentworth Park features.
He posted a 29.81 best in that time and has won two out of three from box eight, there’s plenty of speed to the inside of the track but he could get the slingshot if he holds his width.
Race 4. 7.27PM Zach’s Buck’s Cup Fifth Grade Heat Three – 520 metres
#4 Hardcore Becky – $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hard race here there are plenty of different form lines to follow, this bitch has only ever started here once for a moderate 30.55 performance but she’s much better than that already a six-time winner she could make a big jump here.
Has won over the short course and some tight five hundred metre circuits, has a chance to spear out of the four and make her own luck on the lure.
Race 5. 7.48PM Ladbrokes Flight to the Phoenix Non-Graded – 520 metres
#8 Vamos Penny – $3.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Fantastic race bitch who loves it here at Wentworth Park, this presents a great opportunity for her to take things to the next level and gain some much deserved respect.
She’s a winner of eight races here track and trip and it’s usually all over by the first turn, she can come out flying and is consistently in the 5.4 range early which gives her more than a hope here.
Race 6. 8.10PM Ladbrokes Flight to the Phoenix Non-Graded – 520 metres
#8 Good Odds Cash – $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Everything looks in order for this bitch here, she’s perfectly drawn out in the eight where Aston Barack should help her straight over to the fence before turning on the jets mid-race.
She’s shown in recent months she’s far more than an early speed bitch and if things get tight late she knows where the line is and how to get there first.
Race 7. 8.28PM Ladbrokes Flight to the Phoenix Non-Graded – 520 metres
#8 Zipping Kyrgios – $1.75 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Last week was the below par run he needed to have before his tilt at the Phoenix, before that he’d been successful at Group Level and was running the hands off the clock here at Wentworth Park.
As a rule his box manners have improved ten-fold, he led recently from this draw here and even if he misses if can course wide throughout and still get up.
Race 8. 8.45PM Ladbrokes Flight to the Phoenix Non-Graded – 520 metres
#1 Cool Chevy Magic – $15 – Bet @ Sportsbet
He’s a dog who could cause a boilover here, unproven in this class or at Wentworth Park but he does have plenty to like about him.
Has won a dozen races in his young career and comes up with box one, a vacant to his outside and a slow beginner in the three, if there’s any sort of trouble out wide he could steal a massive win.
Race 9. 9.07PM Cash Connect ATM Plus Fifth Grade Heat Four – 520 metres
#5 Four Five – $3.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been a stalwart at Wentworth Park over the years, has never done anything out of this world but rarely if ever puts in a bad one.
Has been right around the mark with plenty of placings recently and with the four dog headed straight for the fence he could secure a cosy run outside and prove too strong.
Race 10. 9.27PM Ladbroke It! Fifth Grade Heat Five – 520 metres
#4 Blue Ticket – $8.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
One for the each-way players here, this dog has been coming through the ranks nicely slowly progressing up in distance.
Has come close here at headquarters in the money three of four and in a similar race can show a clean set of heels early to set this up.
Race 11. 9.49PM Ladbrokes Switch Fifth Grade Heat Six – 520 metres
#6 Analysing – $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been below her best numerically of late but has been up against much tougher company and will appreciate the easiest race she’s seen in a while.
Jumps and runs well from all outside boxes but is yet to win from the six, that should change if she runs up to potential here.
