Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.38PM GBOTA Welcome Grade 5 – 520 metres
#6 Zipping Sapporo – $2.25 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The price looks generous about this young prospect who came out last start and went 29.95 in winning just his second race start at the track and trip.
Showed good race sense from box four on that occasion, should be able to get away with them 5.55 early and has a clear talent edge on some of the veterans who have struggled to rack up wins over their Wentworth Park careers.
Race 2. 6.57PM Ladbrokes Switch Grade 5 – 520 metres
#8 Rhyme Nor Reason – $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Massive drop in grade from recent Free for All races, has been lightly raced and looks set to come out and run a drum here after a tune up over the four hundred metres last start.
Loves a wide draw can muster some serious pace when given room out wide and is a big chance to get across to the rail here, four wins and a 29.89 best at the track are great credentials.
Race 3. 7.17PM The Chase Lounge at WP Grade 5 – 720 metres
#1 Temper Tears – $1.55 – Bet @ Sportsbet
You’re asked to take a short price about this burgeoning stayer but it’s for good reason, two starts ago he led all the way from this draw running a 42.49 personal best and never looked like being beaten, should only be stronger.
Has won again over the six hundred at Bulli since which should only bolster his already high confidence, he’s growing run by run.
Race 4. 7.37PM Ladbrokes Back Yourself Grade 5 – 720 metres
#7 By Five Helen – $2.25 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Similar to Temper Tears is an emerging stayer, only has the thirteen career starts and just the three here over the seven hundred yet has only been beaten by Temper Tears while running time in the process.
Is more of a get back run on type, will need a bit of luck from box seven but the small field will suit, and she’ll be hitting the line.
Race 5. 8.01PM Welcome MDA Maiden Final – 520 metres
#4 Double Bluff – $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was very green on debut behind Nangar Opal, despite being all over the track closed off well for second and should be much better for the experience from box four again this week.
Out of the powerful Jason Mackay kennel his starting price has been short at both starts he’s clearly got plenty of talent just has to put it all together.
Race 6. 8.17PM Get Your Name Here Free for All – 520 metres
#6 Ebby Infrared – $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been in Free for All company most of his career and has still amassed six wins at the track, was closing on the in form Fire Legend here last start and this week draws wide where he does his best work, ten wins from boxes six and seven.
Should follow Ritza Donald across to the fence from box four with a 5.4 first section and prove too strong in the latter stages for win number twenty-nine.
Race 7. 8.36PM Sponsor a Race at Wenty Grade 5 – 525 metres
#5 Special Effects – $9 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Eighteen of his twenty three starts have come here at the track including all three wins, racing at Wentworth he’s run into plenty of handy dogs and doesn’t win out of turn, but this is one of the weaker races he’ll see if he can overcome the box he wins.
Has gone 5.57 early from a wide draw clearly the quickest of the outside quartet, should be on the pace early and knows how to run the trip.
Race 8. 8.58PM Ladbrokes Odds Boost Mixed 4/5 – 520 metres
#8 Timeless Moment – $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looking for her fourth win from six starts from box eight should be ready to go off the back of a couple of short course runs at Richmond where she was able to ping and lead.
Has plenty of experience here at the track six wins and over twenty starts knows what it takes.
Race 9. 9.15PM Live Racing Every Day Saturday Grade 5 – 525 metres
#2 Maldini – $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The stat that stands out is four wins from four starts from box two, including a last start 30.12 win here a few weeks ago, his third at the track in just seven starts.
Fantastic Victor in box seven in the only one who looks like he can go with him early buy he has the advantage of the inside draw.
Race 10. 9.36PM Ladbrokes Cash In Grade 5 – 525 metres
#2 Magic Emgrand – $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has generally done his best work over the 535 at Richmond and the staying trips, but no matter the distance is always on speed and from a low draw with slow beginners each side he can go forward early and be hard to catch.
A lot of these have struggled to win here, looks a suitable race for him.
