Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.22PM GBOTA Welcome Grade 5 – 520 metres
#2 Ritza Tommy – $1.75 – Bet @ Sportsbet
This youngster comes up at a short quote but strikes a race where he has a clear class edge over some veterans who have battled to win here in the past where he is two from four at track and trip.
Both those wins came from box three just one outside his draw this week, 5.59 early stacks up well here he should be crossing the one and setting up shot on the fence, look for him to break his last 29.97 win.
Race 2. 6.39PM Ladbrokes Switch Grade 5 – 520 metres
#2 Speaking Spanish – $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was never a winning chance last start from box eight when the strong Magic Emgrand jumped to the front from box two, but he worked home from the second half of the field for an admirable third.
Not much pace around the inside quartet here, should allow him to press forward on the rail and show his strength in the run.
Race 3. 6.59PM Happy 60th Birthday Duke Non-Graded – 720 metres
#4 By Five Helen – $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Just got too far back last start, Hampshire was up on speed and was able to put the race to bed before she really got motoring.
From box four here she should let the one and two go early and drop to the rail for an economical run saving plenty of ground and having the fresh legs the hit the line late.
Race 4. 7.18PM The Max Stokes Chase Grade 5 – 520 metres
#3 Medio Paso – $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been placed twelve times from nineteen goes here with just the two wins, but finds a race to suit here, 5.46 from a middle draw should see him leading with second favourite Crazy Old Goat not suited in the red.
Ran 29.88 here last month and a gallant second last week, looks the most likely.
Race 5. 7.40PM AFIANOS/MINTON Can’t and Won’t Masters – 520 metres
#4 Bugatti Reign – $6.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been running very consistently over the provincial sprint trips of late, on the bunny more often than not, if he can repeat that with a slick start in Masters grade he could be off with the prize.
Big, strong thirty-five kilo dog who’s not easy to get past, has the quickest first section and won’t be easy to get around at any stage should he jump.
Race 6. 7.58PM Ladbrokes Odds Boost Free for All – 520 metres
#7 Fire Legend – $2.10 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Group Two Casino Cup Champion has been tearing through New South Wales since his triumph late last month, undefeated with two wins over the sprint at Maitland and two her at Wentworth Park on each occasion he’s been first out first home.
If his box manners continue the seven will be no obstacle here, won from the eight in 29.74 three starts ago, if you can find him above odds on, you’re doing well.
Race 7. 8.15PM Ground Dog Day VIII Classic Mixed ¾ – 520 metres
#4 Pablo Mouse – $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has a brilliant record here at track and trip winning half of his eight starts with two minors and bounced back to form in great fashion last week pinging the lids and roaring away by a big margin.
He ended up running 29.90 but if challenged looked like he had another gear, there’s no substitute for box speed and if he can do it again this week, they’ll be flat out chasing.
Race 8. 8.38PM The KE11YD Cup Mixed 4/5 – 520 metres
#5 Good Odds Armani – $2.25 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Always strikes the lead at some point in his runs here at Wentworth Park, just tends to find one better and is often out graded given his sixteen-win career.
Box five won’t bother him he’s seen them all, it could be an advantage if he’s able to use his 5.46 early and avoid the squeeze, can be suspect late, but makes his own luck.
Race 9. 9.00PM Ladbrokes Back Yourself Grade 5 – 520 metres
#7 Jax Kade – $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Wentworth Park specialist who loves a wide draw, has never had box seven in his career but twice has drawn the pink for two wins most recently a 30.04 effort late last month where he mustered to win by five lengths.
Four wins and five minors at the track if he can avoid Kurious Motion in box eight early it’ll take him a long way to victory, there’s a few tighter in the market that don’t have the same form.
Race 10. 9.18PM Ladbrokes Cash In Grade 5 – 520 metres
#1 Dawn Juan – $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Has been racing well without winning over the short course at Richmond, is traditionally much more suited to the five hundred metres and comes up with his favourite box on his return to Wentworth Park here.
Boasts three wins at track and trip breaking thirty seconds at his best, if he gets away from the one, he wins.
