Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.49PM NSW GBOTA Welcome Maiden Final – 520 metres
#3 Paul Keeping – $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks a great price here, hasn’t disappointed in his two career starts so far running third at Bulli before being trapped wide throughout and still managing second from box eight last week.
Is bred from a long line of strong sprint dogs and will be better for that run as well as a nice comfortable draw in the three where he’ll run a race for each-way punters.
Race 2. 7.08PM Ladbroke It! 1-3 Wins Grade 5 Final – 520 metres
#2 Sophie Zarr Wren – $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Great to see this budding Northern Rivers star back at Wentworth Park after recently running a game forth from a tough draw in Group One company.
Has had a three week freshen up since then and will come with renewed vigour for this race she is perfectly graded and placed for, could be times and margins if she jumps.
Race 3. 7.27PM Cash Connect ATM Plus 1-3 Wins Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Caliente King – $6.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Really like the body of work this impressive youngster has put together wins over the tight five hundred metre course at Gosford as well as a triumph over the tough 535 metre test at Richmond.
He’s a dog still looking for his ceiling after seven starts and is a big shout here if he can avoid the favourite in the five early who’ll hopefully miss him out of the boxes, so we can see what he’s made of in city class.
Race 4. 7.48PM Wentworth Park Phoenix Heats Next Week Grade 5 – 520 metres
#2 One Smart One – $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Could get the perfect run for his racing style here, often gives ground early and holds a spot mid-field which won’t be a problem from box three and finishes his race with gusto.
Is a ten-time winner overall and three time winner at the track, so he makes his style work for him, expect the red dog to clear out early and for him to chime in when it matters.
Race 5. 8.11PM Ladbrokes Easy Form Grade 5 – 520 metres
#5 Rushes – $8.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Good story behind this dog, originally bred and raced in New South Wales has spent the last couple of years as one of South Australia’s premier sprinters always up there in some of the state’s biggest races.
Got a sighter here at Wentworth Park first up back in NSW last week, expect a big improvement, can box much quicker and will be running through the tape over the five hundred.
Race 6. 8.30PM The Phoenix is Coming Grade 5 – 520 metres
#7 Where’s Rocky – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Was cruel to punters last week when he came up with the lids at an odds on price from box one last week, the race was over but he made up some serious ground to run an eye catching fourth.
Should get a nice trail into this one with plenty of speed in the five and showed he doesn’t necessarily have to lead, can flash into the frame late.
Race 7. 8.49PM Ladbrokes Cash In Grade 4 – 520 metres
#3 Casual Glance – $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Came out under the lids last week going 5.49 to the first mark and putting up a massive margin mid-race, admittedly got tired late but first time back up over the five hundred was ultra impressive.
Draws well again this week and can go even quicker in the first section on his past form, should be in better condition to run out the trip second up as well.
Race 8. 9.08PM Wentworthpark.com.au Free For All – 520 metres
#8 Good Odds Cash – $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Happy to lay the favourite Zipping Kansas here who sits at a very short quote and go with this classy bitch who out ran Group One Top Gun entrant Jungle Deuce here last week.
Zipping Kansas can hesitate at the start and runs the risk of getting bottled away, the eight is a great draw for this bitch who can carve across and take up the running.
Race 9. 9.29PM Wentworth Park Markets Grade 5 – 520 metres
#5 Cawboure Turvey – $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Drops back down from the middle-distance at Dapto where she showed mixed form, beating Ice Cream Story before a couple of outs.
Plenty to like here back to the sprint, has run 29.7 here in the past and while she’ll rely on a slice of luck from the box doesn’t have too much speed to inhibit her.
Race 10. 9.50PM Ladbroke It! Grade 5 – 520 metres
#6 Tap Out Diesel – $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Uncharacteristic last time out, missed the kick from an outside draw when he’s usually rushing across challenging for the front.
Is on the verge of really breaking out as a handy type and he can bounce back to the form which saw him win in 30.11 from box eight here a couple of starts ago.
Race 11. 10.14PM Ladbrokes Same Race Multi Masters 1/2/3 – 520 metres
#2 Sunburnt Highway – $1.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The battle resumes between the thirty-time Wentworth Park winner and million dollar dog Good Odds Harada and with the inside running Sunburnt can turn the tables.
Good Odds Harada has been leading from inside draws and getting tired it might just be a bridge to far to get across and run it out from the seven.
