Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips

Race 1. 6.42PM New South Wales GBOTA Welcome Mixed 4/5 – 520 metres

#4 Midnight Flash – Bet @ Sportsbet

Another stud from the Jack Smith production line of stars, seven runs at the track he’s only been out of the money once while posting a 29.85 best just a couple of weeks ago in Free for All company from box four.

His last two runs have been in the top grade and he gets a significant drop in class here, box four isn’t a worry with three career wins, he’ll be in the front half of this field and ready to break his run of seconds.

Race 2. 7.02PM Ladbrokes Maiden Final – 520 metres

#7 Dixie Hawk – Bet @ Sportsbet

There was plenty to like about her debut run when only gathered in late to qualify for this race in 30.34, going 5.56 to the first mark to be a clear leader which is crucial in these maiden events.

With trouble bound to happen it’s often the front runner who can skip away with the race, this bitch has shown she can lead and if she tears across from box seven should leave them in her wake and will be stronger for the first up run over the tough five hundred trip.

Race 3. 7.22PM Congratulations Jeff Collison Grade 5 – 520 metres

#2 Billy Creek – Bet @ Sportsbet

Has been a star on the country circuit a winner at Dubbo and Bathurst over the four and five hundred metre trips, lightning box manners leading him to nine wins and five minors from his seventeen career starts.

Was skittled at the first corner in the feature heats last week but still picked himself up to run third, drawn box two he should have the pace to cross the Master’s dog in one early and rattle off some time.

Race 4. 7.45PM Cash Connect ATM Plus Grade 5 – 520 metres

#7 Zipping Alabama – Bet @ Sportsbet

Emerging young bitch from the Finn kennel renowned for breeding strong five hundred metre and eventually staying dogs she fits the profile perfectly.

Still in the infancy of her career she’s a winner at Richmond in excellent time over the 535, the distance will be no problem but she will need some luck from the draw, worth the gamble.

Race 5. 8.08PM Ladbrokes Peter Mosman Opal Final Non-Graded – 520 metres

#8 Sophie Zarr Wren – Bet @ Sportsbet

Thinking out of the box with this Northern Rivers chaser on top in the first of the features, she’s cut her teeth against some serious types back home and was able to come to the city trial 29.8 and then back it up by making this final.

She won’t be the quickest away but will hope to hitch a ride with the seven early and if she gets a sniff mid-race is capable of exploding around the outside of them.

Reg Gardoll’s line are traditionally strong run on dogs and she could swamp them all here.

Race 6. 8.26PM Ladbrokes Vic Peters Classic Final Non-Graded – 520 metres

#6 Bandit Ned – Bet @ Sportsbet

Showed just how good a dog he was winning his heat, it wasn’t his cleanest race by far but like a star should he found a way to get it done in 30.11, a slow time for him considering his 29.55 the week before.

There can’t be any hesitation at the jump this week with the lightning Aston Barack drawn outside him he’ll go a long way to winning the race if he can keep him off the track.

Is destined for feature race success and this could be the first of many for the youngster.

Race 7. 8.48PM New South Wales GBOTA Sydney Cup Final Non-Graded – 720 metres

#2 Line of Quality – Bet @ Sportsbet

Plenty of each-way value with this stayer, doesn’t have the star power of a lot of his opponents in this race but is only just emerging with eighteen starts under the belt and jumped out of the ground in cutting the margin to Miss Ezmae last week.

With no early speed he should fall to the fence from box two early, if he’s able to gradually pick up ground his run home should see him hit the frame at a price.

Race 8. 9.10PM Ladbrokes Masters Final – 520 metres

#2 Good Odds Harada – Bet @ Sportsbet

Sticking with the Million Dollar Chase champion here at he chases the all-time prize money record, he’s not the dog he once was but in this company still stands out.

His early speed is still intact and crucial against the older dogs, expect a strong challenge from thirty time track and trip winner Sunburnt Highway, but Harada should lead and hold on.

Race 9. 9.28PM Let’s do This NSW Free for All – 520 metres

#8 Zipping Kyrgios – Bet @ Sportsbet

In the form of his life at the moment after blitzing them in the Blacktop at the Gardens, he made light work of tough boxes showing great field sense to get in stalking positions before his strength took over.

Look for something similar here, he should weave his way through a couple and unleash his run home.

Race 10. 9.47PM Ladbroke It! Grade 5 – 520 metres

#3 Lock Master – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looks to have plenty on these, was dominating at Richmond before a luckless run in the feature heats last week and should get back to winning ways.

The box suits and should see him lead or sit outside and use his sustained speed to pick them up.
