Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 5.42PM NSW GBOTA Welcome Back Wentworth Park Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Phase – $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another class act out of the Michael Eberand kennel, this young dog has won ten of his first twenty starts recently running riot at Bulli.
The two turns here at Wentworth Park will be a new test for him but he’s been smashing the finshing post and has great straight line speed.
Race 2. 6.07PM Live and Free at thedogs.com.au Grade 5 – 520 metres
#5 Bandit Ned – $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Will be surprised if this price holds up, talking of good records has only lost three races in his career and is three from three here at track and trip.
Zipping Ontario is a powerful type in box three but will be doing all the chasing when Ned lands on the bunny as he usually does.
Race 3. 6.29PM Ladbroke It! Grade 5 – 520 metres
#7 Tap Out Lucy – $4.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
A proven commodity from wide draws here at the track and trip that’s half the battle here, she’s also been running solely over the five hundred unlike some of her competition.
Can be hit and miss with her box manners but when she gets it right it can be spectacular, knows what it’s like to race on tight tracks like Gosford and will appreciate Wentworth Park.
Race 4. 6.50PM Get Vaxxed Non-Graded – 720 metres
#7 Ice Cream Story – $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks a battle of the kennel mates here with established stayer Prim and Proper and up and comer Ice Cream Story set to battle in out for trainer David Smith.
Both have been racing well behind gun kennel mate Super Estrella, Prim and Proper has been finishing closer but Ice Cream Story is growing each time out and has the mid-race burn to skip away here.
Race 5. 7.09PM Group One Racing at Wentworth Park October 16 Grade 5 – 520 metres
#3 Zipping Virginia – $4.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Another Zipping dog from the Finn production line you’ve got to love her recent Richmond for smashing out the 535 metres in 30.47 last start, a Group class time.
She’ll be beaten for speed here by a couple, but from the draw gets the chance to lob just behind the leaders and produce late.
Race 6. 7.28PM Congratulations Jeff Collison Mixed 4/5 – 520 metres
#2 Chase me Honey – $2 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Is short enough at the price but has been absolutely air born of late pinging the lids over the five and six hundred metres, putting three wins on the trot at Dapto.
Has been here before and won three races and has grown immensely since that time expect a bitch much quicker than her 30.01 previous best.
Race 7. 7.47PM Cash Collect ATM Plus Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Springview Magic – $4.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The favourite will be something to beat in box one after a slick 29.85 win last start, but Springview Magic is a dog who’s run 5.38 to the first mark here which will put him in a commanding position.
Has been smashing the clock at Dapto, this is harder but he can only beat who he races and gets a shot at a scalp here.
Race 8. 8.07PM WP Is Back for #Wentober Grade 5 – 520 metres
#6 Lagoon Alaska – $2.70- Bet @ Sportsbet
She went just about as quick as they go at Gosford last start bettering her 29.7 best going 29.54, on both occasions she’s exploded just after box rise.
There’s speed inside her here but in the past she’s lapped up these kind of boxes where she can just run around them early, is a bitch in a purple patch.
Race 9. 8.30PM Let’s Do This NSW Get Vaxxed 1-3 Wins Grade 5 – 520 metres
#8 Charlotte Byrd – $8 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Her record is hardly flattering here at Wentworth Park currently running at a zero from seven strike rate, but she hasn’t been here for a long time and plenty’s changed for her as a chaser.
Has shown the versatility to jump between the short course and sprint and a constant has been wins from wide draws, she’ll make her own luck.
Race 10. 8.53PM Ladbrokes Bet Ticker Masters 1/2/3 – 520 metres
#6 Shanjo Prince – Bet @ Sportsbet
Love him from this draw, will stay wide and get back early but he’s been doing it for years at Wentworth Park and continues to come with an almighty rush at the end.
Good Odds Harada isn’t the dog he once was but still should be respected from the one, the value is with Shanjo Prince to gun him down.
Race 11. 9.14PM Ladbrokes Punter Assist 1-3 Win Grade 5 – 520 metres
#2 Rockstar Newbold – Bet @ Sportsbet
Breakout performance at Bulli last start, has always shown a lot of promise but his get back run on racing pattern has got him into plenty of trouble.
Good to see him back at Wentworth Park where he’s never missed a place and will be hungry for a city win.
