Wentworth Park Greyhound Racing Tips
Race 1. 6.30PM NSW GBOTA Welcome Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 Cruiser Model- Bet @ Sportsbet
Highly talented chaser, not the most consistent but her best has this field covered.
With plenty of speed to her inside it’s unlikely she leads, but maps to sit outside the speed and does some of her best work in the middle and closing sectionals getting down to a 29.83 best just a couple of starts ago.
Race 2. 6.49PM Ladbroke It 1-3 Wins Grade 5 Final – 520 metres
#7 Little Prayer – Bet @ Sportsbet
Track and trip experience is crucial in restricted win races like this, many of the runners haven’t been here or only have had a couple of looks, Little Prayer has spent her last four starts here and has shown what she’s made of with a win.
Looks to get a cart into the race from box seven, but she might not need it given her manners, would love to see her head off the four early who looks a danger.
Race 3. 7.08PM Cash Connect ATM Plus 1-3 Wins Grade 5 – 520 metres
#1 Zippy Fruits – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looks one of the better bets of the night and will probably come up fairly short accordingly, but should be winning a race like this on her form.
Missed by less than a length here last start and was not disgraced in feature company before that, gets in well at 1-3 wins, just needs to jump adequately from the red.
Race 4. 7.27PM PKF Goes Pink Non-Graded – 720 metres
#7 Beck’s Monelli – Bet @ Sportsbet
This Western Australia breed have been doing good things all over the country in the staying ranks, she was up there with the best at home and stepping up to the 720 first time in NSW is ready to show out.
She might not have seen the track but she’s one of the few runners proven over the trip and under the astute care of Jason Mackay should be firing.
Race 5. 7.48PM #PAINTTHEPARKPINK Masters – 520 metres
#3 Silver Heels – Bet @ Sportsbet
Carries some really strong form lines into this recently beaten by Good Odds Harada and Sunburnt Highway the best two Masters dogs in NSW, he’s free to come into his own without them here.
He might not be running 29.92 like he used to at Wentworth Park but is still nippy early and has no problem running out a strong five hundred.
Race 6. 8.11PM Breast Cancer Awareness Month Grade 5 – 520 metres
#6 Midnight Flash – Bet @ Sportsbet
Will be happy to be back to the familiar surroundings of Wentworth Park after accompanying gun kennel mates in a trip to Victoria where he knocked up in a tough race.
This is much more his cup of tea, a 29.85 winner here in the past from box six as well, Jack Smith has one of the best strike rates going at Wenty and will have him ready to bounce back in a big way here.
Race 7. 8.31PM #WENTOBER Grade 5 – 520 metres
#1 Ritza William – Bet @ Sportsbet
Numerical form doesn’t jump off the page at you, but when you’re racing in the Black Top and Lismore Cup Heats there’s a fair reason why.
Was smashing them at the provincials before that with early speed and crucially draws the red here where he will look to go a perfect six for six in his career.
Race 8. 8.49PM NSW GBOTA Staff Appreciation Free for All – 520 metres
#3 Good Odds Cash – Bet @ Sportsbet
Her bubble burst recently when she had her colours lowered in feature company here at Wentworth Park, but a rough draw can trouble anyone and she can bounce back here.
Hold your breath early when she flies out along with Zulu Warlord in the one, if she clears him early it’s free sailing times and margins stuff, if she doesn’t it could spell trouble.
Race 9. 9.09PM Ladbrokes Switch Grade 5 – 520 metres
#3 My Mate Jim – Bet @ Sportsbet
A prolific earner on the country circuit his talent has translated well to city racing, a last start runner-up in 30.21 about where he’s at as a dog.
Won’t blow them away but does a lot right, puts himself in the race, consolidates and runs home, from a cosy draw looks a big shot here.
Race 10. 9.31PM The Phoenix is Coming Grade 5 – 520 metres
#4 King’s Crown – Bet @ Sportsbet
Is resuming after a couple of months off the scene and does carry the first up question mark, but his history here at Wentworth Park says he’ll be fine, three wins and a 29.88 best.
Isn’t exceptional early but has some field smarts about him and has put together a great record from the squeeze draws, he’ll be charging into this at the right time.
Race 11. 9.52PM Live and Free at Thedogs.com.au Grade 4 – 520 metres
#1 Where’s Rocky – Bet @ Sportsbet
A box one bandit looks every chance in the last, has only missed once from the draw and holds a 29.87 performance track and trip.
There’s some serious pace outside him but he won’t let that overwhelm him, just keep kicking up on the fence and waiting for the runs to open.
