All Aged Stakes Form Guide & Tips
He is nearing a win after another game placing behind Joliestar, so we’re not leaving him out of our picks.
We have found a couple better bets for the All Aged Stakes, but he would be a popular winner, and $6.50 is a fair price from bookmakers.
Luck has not been on his side this campaign, but the 1400m is ideal, and he should be steaming down the outside.
The six-year-old is a two-time winner at Randwick and four-time winner over 1400m, with many of those wins coming against elite fields.
He will drop back from the draw and put in the big bounds late.
He has eight wins from 16 starts, so he’s a quality sprinter. He was trapped wide in his most recent run, and barrier 10 won’t do his chances any good.
That’s the big concern when backing Briasa, but he’s talented enough to include in first four picks.
He comes off a run over 2000m, where he didn’t have much left in the tank at the end of the race. That was a disappointing run, but he’s best suited to the mile.
We would prefer to bet on him over 1600m, and the odds tell the story.
The Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup winner making his return. He’s capable of sprinting fresh, but this isn’t his main target, and connections will be happy to see him making late ground.
A tough winner fresh up before being blitzed by Sheza Alibi in the Doncaster. We expect that form to stack up well, and dropping to 1400m is ideal.
He’s a five-time winner over the distance, so he has enough upside to include in picks.
If there is going to be a blowout result, it could come from Royal Patronage. He owns three fresh up wins, and he has three wins from five starts over the distance.
He won the Canterbury Stakes fresh up last year, so that’s a good form guide, and if Tim Clark gets a soft lead, he could be tough to run down.
He isn’t an easy runner to follow, but he’s working his way towards an overdue win following a placing at Caulfield.
We’re making him our best each-way because James McDonald has chosen to ride him for Chris Waller, and that’s a good sign.
His turn-of-foot is good enough to figure in the finish.
He didn’t get all favours when caught wide in the Doncaster, so we wouldn’t dismiss him based on that effort.
There are some slick customers in this race, but if there is room for one more, he could enter first four calculations.
Big odds following a fourth when fresh up. He needs to find a few lengths on that effort.
The fan favourite makes her return after missing most of the autumn. She was given an exhibition gallop last Saturday, but the drifting odds are worrying.
If she was forward enough to win, McDonald would have taken the ride, so there are some question marks around her fitness.
A Group 1 winner over 1500m last time out in the Coolmore. Nothing wrong with that form but coming back to 1400m won’t help her.
She opened at $20, which is a fair price, and she could be well-backed late.
She hasn’t returned to form this preparation, so we’re not including her in our picks.
Yet to win this preparation, but the colt has loads of talent, and he has been prepared with a trial win at Canterbury.
He is rock-solid in betting markets, so we’re happy to include him in our All Aged Stakes picks.
