Randwick free tips & form
Race 1. (11:30) Widden Kindergarten Stakes (1100m)
#8 – Enbihaar @ $2.65 – BET NOW
The Lindsay Park-trained two-year-old kicked off her career with consecutive wins before running second in the Blue Diamond Stakes.
That came behind Written By, which has since run well in the Golden Slipper and that form is going to stack up nicely for this.
She gets into the race with only 54.5kg on her back and she will be awfully tough to beat in the first race of The Championships.
Race 3. (12:45) P.J. Bell Stakes (1200m)
#8 – Demerara @ $3.40 – BET NOW
Nice odds on offer for a quality Godolphin filly which has won five of her seven career starts.
The daughter of Commands scored an impressive win at Flemington last start and she won a trial at Randwick in February, so having that experience on this track helps.
This is her toughest test to date but carrying 54kg is going to make it easier and Craig Williams has chosen to ride her over quality filly Catchy and that’s a great sign.
Race 4. (13:20) Country Championships Final (1400m)
#1 – Suncraze @ $4.40 – BET NOW
Top class gelding which has never finished worse than second in 12 career starts.
That’s a truly amazing record and his five wins have all been outstanding performances from either on the pace or off the pace.
Trainer Melanie O’Gorman has the four-year-old in excellent condition and although she might be giving up a start to Don’t Give A Damn, she has the ability to reel them in with ease.
Good odds on offer.
Race 5. (13:55) Chairman’s Quality (2600m)
#8 – Alward @ $4.20 – BET NOW
Alward made good ground in behind Master Of Arts last start on a track that didn’t suit the five-year-old.
Trained by Chris Waller, the imported son of Aqlaam sat back throughout the run before making a big burst late to miss by a short margin.
That run is going to have him in good stead for this and after three runs this campaign, his fitness is in top order and punters are getting value odds with the stayer.
Race 10. (17:10) Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m)
#4 – Harmattan @ $3.40 – BET NOW
Although defeated at Moonee Valley last start, we were impressed with the performance from Harmattan.
The James Cummings-trained filly had won her two previous runs at Sale and Pakenham and although she’s making a rise in class here, she looks to have big things to come.
Drawing barrier four is going to see her land into a prime position and getting a 7kg weight pull on Luvaluva should be enough to see her go close.
Bendigo free tips & form
Race 1. (12:25) Macedon Lodge Handicap (2400m)
#2 – Harrison @ $3 – BET NOW
That was a nice run from Harrison in behind Kings Will Dream last start and although he finished five lengths behind, he still defeated the majority of the field.
An imported runner for Macedon Lodge, the five-year-old was a winner in Europe last May before coming to Australia. He was always going to need a couple of runs to get to top-level fitness and at 54kg, he looks a great chance.
Race 3. (13:35) Vobis Gold Plate (1000m)
#12 – Sizzleme @ $9 – BET NOW
This is a tough two-year-old race to line up but Sizzleme represents good each way value at $9.
The Cindy Alderson-trained filly finished fifth on debut behind Ollivander and she ran a quick enough time to be considered here.
Drawing the inside barrier at Bendigo is always a positive and she showed enough barrier speed on debut to suggest she could take the lead and kick strongly.
Race 4. (14:10) Avenue Press Handicap (1100m)
#6 – Sprightly Lass @ $2.30 – BET NOW
Sprightly Lass might have a second placing beside her name last start, but she crossed the line first at Rosehill.
The Hawkes-trained mare was relegated behind Dothraki at Group 3 level last start and her form prior included an easy win at Moonee Valley.
She has a torrent of speed and getting in here with only 54kg is going to show off her turn-of-foot.
She’s up and running this campaign and she will be tough to hold out.
Race 7. (16:10) Golden Mile (1600m)
#6 – Kiwia @ $5.50 – BET NOW
That was a nice resuming run for Kiwia last start at Flemington and he’s only going to improve with the fitness under his belt.
The Darren Weir-trained stayer has scored six quality wins throughout his career and at his best they wouldn’t be able to beat him here.
He has form around some of the best middle-distance types in Australia and $5.50 is a good price considering he won his only second-up start to date.
Race 8. (16:50) Bendigo Guineas (1400m)
#5 – Holbien @ $5 – BET NOW
The three-year-old for Steve Richards has really come of form this campaign with three wins from four starts.
He scored easily by 3.8 lengths at Flemington last start and although facing a rise in class for this, he looks good enough to be considered a winning hope here.
$5 is a fair price from bookmakers.
