Ascot horse racing tips

Race 1. (17:28) Crown Perth Plate (1100m)

#3 – Cold Shizzle – Bet @ Sportsbet

Cold Shizzle kicked off his campaign with consecutive wins at Belmont and Ascot, so he’s an in-form runner.

The three-year-old has since run well enough in three subsequent runs when rising in class and he should find this more to his liking.

Punters should get each-way odds.

Race 2. (18:05) Magic Millions Plate (1100m)

#2 – Street Parade – Bet @ Sportsbet

Street Parade is a three-year-old gelding who scored on debut at Ascot and he’s good enough to remain unbeaten.

The son of Lucky Street won by a half-length against a nice field, so that hold him in good stead for his future.

Drawing wide hurts, but class takes him close.

Race 3. (18:40) Tabtouch Westspeed 0MW (1600m)

#3 – Snippy Miss – Bet @ Sportsbet

Snippy Miss got the job done at Ascot last start and we’re backing her to go back-to-back.

The five-year-old owns one win and eight placings on the track, so the daughter of Snippetson is always around the mark.

Barrier five is ideal and she should get every chance.

Race 4. (19:12) Belhus Racing Stables BM66 (2200m)

#3 – Black Chips – Bet @ Sportsbet

Black Chips has turned his form around nicely and despite being a nine-year-old, he has had only 22 starts.

The son of Blackfriars won back-to-back races before finishing second at Ascot, so he has rediscovered his best form.

Punters should include him in selections.

Race 5. (19:45) Vale Dr Joe McDermott BM72 (1100m)

#7 – Mantelli – Bet @ Sportsbet

Mantelli scored a win at Belmont four starts back before rattling off three consecutive second placings.

The five-year-old gelding has yet to win at Ascot, but he has been close on numerous occasions and we like his chances.

He is a quality son of Per Incanto that could extend his impressive record.

Race 6. (20:20) Western Racepix BM60 (1200m)

#4 – Miss Vasari – Bet @ Sportsbet

Miss Vasari runs her best races at Ascot and the three-time winner could beat an even betting field.

The four-year-old mare is also a two-time winner at the distance and drawing barrier three should see her land in a good spot.

Punters should expect bookmakers to have her favoured.

Race 7. (20:55) Happy Bday C Burton 1MW (1800m)

#7 – Prized Miss – Bet @ Sportsbet

Prized Miss is seeking consecutive wins after winning at Pinjarra and she looked to have a bit in hand.

The Adam Durrant-trained owns two wins from five starts, so she has made a nice start to her career.

Drawing barrier 11 makes it tough, but she has time to find cover over 1800m. We expect her to settle back and come with a searching run.

Race 8. (21:25) Celebration of Life Day Trophy (1500m)

#5 – Beret – Bet @ Sportsbet

Beret keeps on winning and we like her chances of winning her fifth consecutive race on Saturday.

The Durrant-trained five-year-old is a five-time winner at Ascot and she is an underrated type, despite her winning record.

Punters should expect each-way odds against this level of opposition.

Race 9. (22:00) Amelia Park BM66 (1400m)

#7 – Burnya to Survive – Bet @ Sportsbet

The four-year-old is shooting for four consecutive wins and we’re backing the son of Bradbury’s Luck.

He won by a half-length at Ascot last time out and that win holds him in good stead against this level of opposition.

Drawing barrier five should see him land on the speed and show a good kick.
