Ascot horse racing tips

Race 1. (15:04) Tourism WA Trophy (2200m)

#1 – Pure Devotion – Bet @ Sportsbet

Pure Devotion is shooting for her third consecutive win and we wouldn’t be betting against her.

The daughter of So You Think owns two wins and three placings from six starts at Ascot, so she loves the track.

It kicks off what could be a big day for William Pike.

Race 2. (15:44) Crystal Slipper Stakes (1100m)

#6 – Revitup – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looking to remain unbeaten is Revitup, who scored by a length in a tough field on debut at Ascot.

The two-year-old filly looks to have a bright future and she won’t be paying $14 for this race, like she did on debut.

Barrier four is ideal and she is the one to beat.

Race 3. (16:24) Amelia Park 1MW (1800m)

#1 – Brave Angel – Bet @ Sportsbet

Simon Miller lines up the four-year-old mare who runs her best races at Ascot, which is ideal for punters.

The daughter of Tavistock owns two wins and two placings at Ascot, and there was plenty to like about her effort for third last start.

She’s heading in the right direction and she demands attention.

Race 4. (17:04) Tabtouch Better Your Bet BM66 (1600m)

#2 – Ginger Flyer – Bet @ Sportsbet

Ginger Flyer doesn’t know how to run a bad race with five wins and nine placings from 17 starts.

The five-year-old mare is a four-time winner at Ascot and it took a smart type to get the better of her last time out.

3kg comes off her back and we’re confident of a big run.

Race 5. (17:44) Tabtouch Placid Ark Stakes (1200m)

#6 – Flying Missile @ $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Flying Missile is getting close to breaking through this preparation after back-to-back third placings.

The three-year-old filly is a three-time winner at Ascot, and although yet to win at the distance, she has plenty of ability.

$3.20 is a fair price for an exciting type.

Race 6. (18:25) Carbine Club Stakes (1400m)

#11 – Son of a God @ $3.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet

We’re prepared to give Son of a God another chance after running third behind Wilchino last time out.

The five-year-old gelding is classy at best, which includes six wins and five placings from 17 starts. He loves the track and punters have come for him again.

Dropping to 55kg could make the difference.

Race 7. (19:05) Sky Racing W.A. Guineas (1600m)

#13 – Treasured Star @ $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Treasured Star scored consecutive wins before running fifth behind Buzzoom last time out.

The talented filly by Toronado has the ability to bounce back against this company and having Pike in the saddle is a bonus.

Her odds could drop on race day.

Race 9. (20:20) Crown Jungle Mist Classic (1200m)

#9 – Bright Diamond @ $2.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Bright Diamond comes off a win at Ascot and she could kick on with the job. She defeated a quality field and it was her fourth win from nine starts.

She has yet to finish outside the placings from nine starts, so the consistency is there and punters should be confident.

It’s another good ride for Pike, who likes riding on the big days.

Race 10. (20:57) Drummond Golf BM66 (1200m)

#9 – Cresent City – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Williams-trained four-year-old has yet to race at Ascot, but his form bodes well for this contest.

He comes off a second placing at Belmont behind Tena Koutou, and he is good enough to take that form and win this race.

Punters could get each-way odds, so consider.
