Ascot horse racing tips

Race 1. (15:29) Crown Perth Plate (1000m)

#2 – Clairvoyance – Bet @ Sportsbet

It will be the toughest test to date for Clairvoyance, but she is a smart filly that looks set for group racing.

The three-year-old is unbeaten after four starts and she has been on another level throughout her first campaign.

Expect short odds from bookmakers.

Race 2. (16:15) Tabtouch Westspeed 0MW (1200m)

#2 – Time To Sizzle – Bet @ Sportsbet

Martin Allan lines up the talented four-year-old mare that owns four wins from eight career starts.

She is coming off a 1.8-length win at Belmont Park, but her best form comes at Ascot where she has won three of her four attempts.

We are expecting another top effort from the likely favourite.

Race 3. (17:02) Amelia Park BM72 (1800m)

#5 – Truly Great – Bet @ Sportsbet

Truly Great is living up to his name after posting wins at his last two starts. The Williams-trained gelding scored a one-length win on this track last start, which bodes well for the rest of the season.

It was his fourth career win from eight starts, and given the stable that he comes from, expect more wins.

Chris Parnham rides from barrier two, so he goes on top.

Race 4. (17:37) All Flags Signs & Banners 1MW (1600m)

#7 – Notorious One – Bet @ Sportsbet

Notorious One looked good winning his first two starts before running only one length behind the winner last start.

The record shows a seventh beside his name, but it was a blanket finish and he could have easily won the race.

Having experience at Ascot helps and he should be better for it.

Race 5. (18:15) Seacorp 1MW (1000m)

#11 – Sassy Trader – Bet @ Sportsbet

Sassy Trader has done plenty right to start his career, which includes a win and two placings from three starts.

The three-year-old gelding scored the win at Belmont and followed it up with a third placing on this track.

He gets every chance from barrier two and dropping in weight is ideal.

Race 6. (18:50) Quayclean BM66 (1200m)

#10 – Comes A Time – Bet @ Sportsbet

He got the job done nicely at Ascot last start and he could go back-to-back. The four-year-old won by a length and this field isn’t much harder than what he faced last week.

Dropping down to 54.5kg with Lucy Warwick riding is a positive and punters should get each-way odds this Saturday.

Race 7. (19:25) Tabtouch Prince of Wales Stakes (1000m)

#5 – Stageman @ $3.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Stageman is the worthy favourite for this race following a win at Belmont and a placing at Ascot.

The six-year-old son of Written Tycoon is an eight-time winner from 23 starts, and two of those wins have come at Ascot.

He opened at $4 and most of the early money has come his way.

Race 8. (20:00) Hosemasters Beau Stakes (1400m)

#9 – Inspirational Girl @ $2.05 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Williams-trained five-year-old is a seven-time winner from nine starts, so she is the class runner of this field.

She is a daughter of Reliable Man that scored a 1.5-length win at Ascot last start and with fitness under her belt, her chances of winning become stronger.

$2.05 for a mare of her ability is an excellent price.

Race 9. (20:35) Byron Bay Premium Lager BM72 (1400m)

#6 – True Attraction – Bet @ Sportsbet

True Attraction could give Adam Durrant a winner in the last race and he has the form on the board.

The five-year-old is a four-time winner from 11 starts and despite drawing barrier 14, he only needs luck to figure in the finish.

Punters might get each-way odds because of the draw.
