It’s a new racing season and we’re excited to see it in with racing from Warwick Farm and Sale.
Both meetings host quality midweek cards this Wednesday and we have form and free tips for the best races on offer.
Warwick Farm free tips & form
Race 1. (13:00) Book Spring Now Maiden (1100m)
#3 – Danawi @ $2.15 – BET NOW
Punters will be hoping the Tim Martin-trained runner makes it into the barriers this time around after getting late scratched last week.
The three-year-old scored a 1.8-length trial win at Rosehill in preparation of his return and his only race day start was a credible second placing behind Group 1 winner The Autumn Sun.
$2.15 is a solid price and he could easily start the race as the odds-on favourite.
Race 3. (14:10) Half Yearly Membership BM76 (2200m)
#7 – Cormac @ $4 – BET NOW
Cormac has been expensive for punters this season but he gets into this with only 54.5kg on his back and that must bring him into contention.
The Chris Waller-trained four-year-old was no match for his stablemate Follow Suit last start but he meets it much better in the weights and Kerrin McEvoy should be able to provide an economical ride from barrier five.
It’s last chance saloon for Cormac but we’re prepared to give it another shot.
Race 4. (14:45) Ribchester BM70 (1200m)
#4 – Spring Charlie @ $2.10 – BET NOW
The unbeaten gelding looks to have good potential and it’s a positive to see money coming for him during the week.
Trained by Kim Waugh, the son of Myboycharlie has won a total of two races and three trials and has yet to taste defeat at all levels. His most recent win came by a half-length at Gosford and there are more wins in store.
We’re not sure that he has Saturday grades in the future but his odds have been slammed in from $2.75 to $2.10.
Race 5. (15:20) ATC Hong Kong Tour BM70 (1200m)
#2 – Sweet Scandal @ $4.80 – BET NOW
Looking for three consecutive wins, Sweet Scandal has shown good ability and has rewarded loyal punters to date.
Her two wins to date came at Canterbury and Warwick Farm, with her most recent coming by a half-length over a nice field. She won’t get everything her own way from barrier nine and with 61.5kg on her back but she deserves respect.
$4.80 is worth the risk and it could pay to follow the markets.
Race 6. (15:55) Dawn Approach BM74 (1400m)
#8 – Seaglass @ $3.10 – BET NOW
This is a tricky field but Seaglass looks to have plenty of ability and that was a nice effort for fourth last time out at Randwick.
Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden, the four-year-old filly is a two-time winner from five starts and although she hasn’t won since September last year, she could go best second-up.
She will need luck from barrier 11 but she’ll likely get back and run home strongly.

Race 2. (12:35) Gabi & Dan Breakfast Maiden (1213m)
#9 – Clarice Cliffs @ $3 – BET NOW
Greg Eurell lines up the debutante which is a four-year-old without any trial form, but there has been a big push in the betting.
The daughter of Canford Cliffs opened at $5 and has been backed into $3, which is a strong push for a runner without any public form.
Watch the updated markets to see if the strong money continues.
Race 3. (13:10) GJ Gardner Homes Maiden (1422m)
#12 – Striker Queen @ $1.70 – BET NOW
Looking to get off the mark at her third start, there has been heavy money for the filly and it looks well placed.
The three-year-old filly finished third on debut at long odds but was well-backed second-up when running second at Echuca. $1.70 might be a touch on the short side but she opened at $2.50 and the move should be documented.
She gets in with only 54kg on her back and they’ll have a tough time keeping up.
Race 5. (14:20) Raglan Pizza BM64 (1422m)
#3 – Little Bita Spunk @ $3.10 – BET NOW
Little Bita Spunk might be better over the shorter distances but he has won over this distance and he indicated a return to form last start.
The six-year-old finished second at Geelong behind Aerospeed and the last time he ran at Sale, he recorded a 1.3-length win.
That was his only start on this track and he could keep his unbeaten record here intact.
Race 6. (14:55) Maffra Polly & Pumps BM64 (1013m)
#5 – Outback Warrior @ $2.65 – BET NOW
That was a strange run last time out from Outback Warrior and punters will need to go on its debut win at Geelong as a form guide.
The four-year-old scored by 3.3 lengths on debut before running nine lengths behind the winner at Sandown, but expect quick improvement from the Moroney stables and he has been backed in from $4.20 to $2.65.
Worth giving another chance here.
