Belmont horse racing tips

Race 1. (14:16) Tabtouch Westspeed Maiden (1200m)

#1 – Goodbyefeds @ $2.20 – BET NOW

Goodbyefeds is the worthy favourite in the opener and although yet to win, he is a supremely consistent runner.

The son of Sessions ran fourth at Belmont fresh up and he is going to improve with the run. Having William Pike in the saddle helps his chances but will also lower his price come race day.

Race 2. (14:56) Vale Harvey Crossman Plate (1000m)

#2 – Panzdown @ $2.25 – Bet Now

We are sticking with William Pike and he should be able to get Panzdown to run well once again.

The three-year-old gelding won by 2.8 lengths on debut and that capped off some tidy trial form. He looks every chance to win again and he could firm into an odds-on quote on Saturday.

Take the $2.25 before it drops any further.

Race 3. (15:36) Crown Perth BM72 (2100m)

#8 – Marocchino @ $3.10 – Bet Now

Marocchino is struggling to win a race of late but the four-year-old could score an overdue success.

The son of Maschino tried to sit on the speed and lead from the front last start, but he was caught over the concluding stages.

He meets an easier field here and instant success could come.

Race 4. (16:13) Barry McGougan 70th BM76 (1600m)

#3 – Not To Be Mist @ $1.90 – Bet Now

Adam Durrant lines up the five-year-old gelding that owns six wins and four placings from 13 starts.

The son of Danehill Express has had four starts on this track for three placings and it is another good ride for William Pike.

Punters have to muscle up and take short odds but they are worth taking.

Race 5. (16:55) Quayclean BM71 (1300m)

#7 – Inflation @ $5.50 – Bet Now

Inflation is building nicely towards a win after placing at Belmont and although facing a short favourite, he owns winning claims.

The five-year-old gelding landed on the speed last time out and he should find the front off the inside draw.

$5.50 is a good price and he could cause a minor upset.

Race 6. (17:25) Seacorp 1MW (1200m)

#5 – Dark Mission @ $2.60 – Bet Now

Dark Mission is coming off a tidy win at Belmont and she is good enough to score back-to-back wins on this track.

The four-year-old mare is drawn ideally in barrier three and it is another good ride for William Pike. He should have a good day and $2.60 is a fair price.

Race 7. (18:00) Jockey Celebration Day BM84 (1000m)

#3 – Essential Spice @ $3.20 – Bet Now

Essential Spice is a six-time winner that loves racing at Belmont and could give Pike another winning ride.

The mare by Gingerbread Man looked the goods when sprinting late to score last start and she doesn’t need to improve to win this race.

Luck is needed from the draw but she will drop back and storm home late.

Race 8. (18:35) Amelia Park BM66 (1000m)

#7 – Cliffs Of Comfort @ $2.70 – Bet Now

Team Pearce lines up the unbeaten gelding that owns three wins from three starts. He returns having won in April and all three wins have seen him lead throughout.

He will need to show his superior barrier speed after drawing barrier 11, but it would take a brave punter to bet against him.

It could pay to follow positive betting moves on race day.

Race 9. (19:10) Go Racing For Free 1MW (1600m)

#11 – Montelena @ $2.70 – Bet Now

Montelena has been prepared for this run with two starts this preparation and she is working through her gears.

The four-year-old is only a one-race winner but she has more ability than most in this field and we are expecting a top effort.

$2.70 is a fair price and that could shorten.
