Belmont horse racing tips
Race 1. (13:23) Tabtouch Westspeed Maiden (1600m)
#3 – Final Chill – Bet Now
Final Chill turned around some average form when placing at Northam last start and he gets some things in his favour.
He gets William Pike in the saddle and there are no superstars in this race, so he could take advantage of that.
Expect a tidy effort in the opener.
Race 2. (13:58) Free Entry to Belmont Plate (1200m)
#1 – Surveillance – Bet Now
The two-year-old gelding has placed in both starts to date and he could return from a spell in winning fashion.
He finished second on debut at Ascot before paying $25 to win at Pinjarra and running second. There was plenty to like about those runs and another good run is expected this Saturday.
Race 3. (14:37) Old Mate’s Sports Bar Plate (1200m)
#1 – Bumper Humper – Bet Now
The wide draw won’t help Bumper Humper but having Pike in the saddle will. She is a two-year-old filly that won on debut and has finished fourth in two subsequent runs.
She hasn’t been far off them of late and she has shown both good barrier speed and a turn-of-foot from the back of the field.
Expect a tidy effort with some luck.
Race 4. (15:17) Amelia Park BM78 (1400m)
#8 – Showmanship – Bet Now
The Williams-trained four-year-old has won four of his five starts and he should continue his rise though the grades.
The son of Showcasing won by 1.8 lengths last start at Belmont and he had a superior turn-of-foot in the straight.
Expect short odds to be on offer from bookmakers.
Race 5. (15:53) Devil’s Lair 1MW (1400m)
#7 – Truly Great – Bet Now
William Pike gets another good ride aboard Truly Great, which ended his last campaign with a win at Ascot.
The son of Dundeel has scored two wins from only four starts and he looks like a nice type in the making.
It will be his first start at Belmont but with luck, he goes close.
Race 6. (16:33) Seacorp BM62 (1000m)
#6 – Mood Swings – Bet Now
Mood Swings was in a good mood at Belmont last start and he is capable of producing consecutive wins.
The Dupre-trained three-year-old sat on the speed and kicked gamely in the straight to score. It was his second win from four starts and he has yet to miss a placing.
We are expecting a top effort at Belmont.
Race 7. (17:10) Kirin Megumi BM66 (1200m)
#4 – Indian Pacific – Bet Now
Indian Pacific has scored four wins from five starts and he is every chance of improving his record here.
The three-year-old by Zoustar scored narrowly on this track last start and he remained unbeaten from two attempts.
Drawing an inside barrier should see him fighting out the finish.
Race 8. (17:45) Aquanita Stakes (2000m)
#8 – Uncle Dick @ $2.75 – Bet Now
Uncle Dick kicked off his career with consecutive wins before running a nose behind the winner last time out.
The Les Smith-trained three-year-old showed good speed throughout the race to score and one of those wins came at Belmont.
$2.75 is a fair price for the talented type.
Race 9. (18:20) Belmont Oaks (2000m)
#1 – Kay Cee @ $1.70 – Bet Now
Kay Cee is all class and she showed that by scoring a half-length win at Belmont last time out.
The Parnham-trained filly owns six wins from 10 starts and she has a very bright future in the game. Four of those six wins have come at Belmont, so she loves the surface.
The $1.70 is reflective of her ability and she should run shorter.
Race 10. (18:55) Crown Perth BM72 (1600m)
#5 – Fred Dag – Bet Now
Fred Dag is getting closer to a win this preparation after running second at Belmont last time out.
The four-year-old is a five-time winner from 18 starts and he has placed in another seven races. That is a consistent record and one he could improve on here.
He loves Belmont so stick with him.
