Belmont horse racing tips
—
Race 1. (13:53) Crown Perth Plate (1000m)
#1 – Bopping Blue – Bet @ Sportsbet
Bopping Blue scored a quality win at Belmont Park last time out and he’s capable of kicking on with it.
The Adam Durrant-trained two-year-old has a nice profile and having the services of William Pike in the saddle is ideal.
Punters could get value odds.
Race 2. (14:32) Westspeed Platinum 0MW (1400m)
#1 – I’m Pretty – Bet @ Sportsbet
I’m Pretty comes off a win at Belmont and she is a three-time winner at the track, so she should be tough to hold out.
The Durrant-trained is a four-time winner at the distance and it’s another good ride for William Pike, who could start with consecutive victories.
Stick with it and the odds will be a good guide.
Race 3. (15:12) Morley Growers Market BM62 (1200m)
#5 – Timely Outburst – Bet @ Sportsbet
Timely Outburst is a three-time winner from five starts and the other two starts have resulted in second placings.
The three-year-old filly comes off back-to-back placings at Belmont and she looks well-placed to score at this level.
The claim helps and punters should get each-way odds.
Race 4. (15:48) 50th B’Day G McLearie 1MW (1000m)
#2 – Sunnysilk – Bet @ Sportsbet
Sunnysilk comes off two wins from its last four starts and that form is good enough to be considered here.
The three-year-old daughter of Snippetson didn’t fire at Belmont last time out, but her form prior was good and that bodes well.
Barrier four is ideal and she has upside.
Race 5. (16:28) Free Entry to Belmont BM66 (1600m)
#5 – Sowar – Bet @ Sportsbet
Sowar comes off a half-length win at Northam and he’s capable of scoring back-to-back wins at this level.
The four-year-old son of Sepoy has figured in the placings in 17 of his 26 starts, so he rarely runs a bad race.
Each-way odds should be available and he will be right around the mark.
Race 6. (17:05) Amelia Park BM78 (1200m)
#2 – Excellent Dream – Bet @ Sportsbet
Excellent Dream didn’t have much luck at Belmont last start, but the four-year-old is capable of bouncing back in fine order.
The four-year-old son of Dream Ahead owns two wins on this track and three wins at the distance, so he has the statistics in his favour.
William Pike gets another good ride and that bodes well.
Race 7. (17:40) Heineken 3 BM66 (1200m)
#3 – Amasenus – Bet @ Sportsbet
The Simon Miller-trained four-year-old has rattled off four consecutive wins and she’s capable of making it five on the bounce.
She is a five-time winner from 12 starts and getting an inside barrier is ideal, so she should drop into a nice spot.
Punters should get each-way odds and she should be right in the mix.
Race 8. (18:15) Waroa Belmont Guineas (1600m)
#2 – Billy Ain’t Silly @ $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Billy Ain’t Silly is a professional five-time winner from 10 starts and the three-year-old is a two-time winner at Belmont.
The quality gelding was beaten last time out at Belmont behind Graceful Girl, but he’s more than capable of turning that form around.
$2.20 is a fair price but money is coming, so it could pay to lock in the price.
Race 9. (18:45) Ascend Sales Trophies BM72 (1400m)
#6 – Hot Zed – Bet @ Sportsbet
Hot Zed is a quality three-year-old gelding that owns five wins from 11 starts, which is a nice start to his career.
The son of Red Hot Choice scored three starts back and he comes off a second placing at Belmont, which is a good form guide.
Barrier one helps and we’re confident of a big effort.
