Belmont horse racing tips

Race 1. (13:58) Free Entry to Belmont 2YO (1200m)

#1 – Guard the Safe – Bet @ Sportsbet

Guard the Safe comes off a win at Belmont and he’s more than capable of producing back-to-back wins.

The two-year-old son of Safeguard won by a half-length and he hit he line nicely, which is always a good sign.

Barrier 13 is troublesome, but punters should be confident of a big effort.

Race 2. (14:37) Tabtouch Westspeed 0MW (1200m)

#2 – Express Time – Bet @ Sportsbet

Express Time is a last-start winner that could keep up his impressive form. She is a four-time winner from 11 starts and some of her best form has come at Belmont.

Barrier three allows her to find a good position in the run and this race is there for the taking, so put her on top.

Punters should get each-way odds on race day.

Race 3. (15:17) Jane Carr 50h Birthday 1MW (1600m)

#8 – Truly Inspired – Bet @ Sportsbet

Truly Inspired got the job done at Northam last time out and although William Pike has jumped ship, we like his chances of winning.

The son of Dundeel powered away for the win and although rising in class, he looks capable of handling it with aplomb.

Barrier five is ideal and we wouldn’t rule him out.

Race 4. (15:53) Vale Paul Stillitano BM62 (1000m)

#7 – Secret Plan – Bet @ Sportsbet

Secret Plan is getting close to posting another win after three consecutive placings and his recent trial win was good.

The Williams-trained three-year-old scored a win at his only Belmont start and he looks ready to fire fresh up, so punters should be confident.

William Pike rides and that always helps.

Race 5. (16:43) Amelia Park BM78 (1000m)

#5 – Panzdown – Bet @ Sportsbet

Panzdown ended his run of four consecutive wins when finishing second last start, but he’s worth another try.

The three-year-old was only a short margin behind the winner and we like his chances of getting back to winning form.

All four wins came over this distance and although a smart field, he could handle them.

Race 6. (17:20) Peninsula Dining Room 1MW (1300m)

#6 – Fairedu – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Harvey-trained five-year-old owns four wins and six placings from 18 starts, so she still has plenty of upside.

She owns a win and a placing from four starts at Belmont and she let down with a good run last time out. This is a harder contest, but she has more upside than many of these.

Consider at what should be an each-way price.

Race 7. (17:55) Crown Perth BM72 (1600m)

#3 – True Attraction – Bet @ Sportsbet

True Attraction scored a quality win two back at Belmont and he looks ready to get back to winning form.

The five-year-old son of More Than Ready owns five wins from 19 starts and four of those wins came at Belmont, so the track helps.

It’s another good ride for Pike and he could get the job done.

Race 8. (18:25) Breast Cancer WA Strickland Stakes (2000m)

#8 – Dance Music @ $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Dance Music is an 11-time winner from 26 starts and she demands respect in the feature race of the day.

The five-year-old mare comes off three consecutive placings and she’s getting close, so she can’t be ruled out.

Punters get each-way odds and she gets conditions to suit, so put her on top.

Race 9. (18:50) Furphy BM66 (1400m)

#10 – Bright Diamond – Bet @ Sportsbet

Bright Diamond is getting close to another win after consecutive placings and she has done all her racing at Belmont.

The four-year-old owns six starts for three wins and three placings, so she has yet to run a bad race and that’s unlikely to change on Saturday.

Pike could end the day with a winning ride and punters shouldn’t expect big odds.
