Belmont horse racing tips
Race 1. (13:53) Welcome Back To The Race BM78 (2200m)
#3 – Freez’emoff – Bet Now
The five-year-old mare is in career best form after posting three wins from her last four starts.
She won by two lengths in an effortless display at Belmont last start and she should get every chance from an inside draw here.
Expect another good run from the in-form mare.
Race 2. (14:33) Tabtouch Westspeed Maiden (1200m)
#9 – Western Rhythm – Bet Now
The three-year-old is coming off a trial win at Belmont and it’s good to see William Pike stick with her.
She showed a good turn-of-foot when winning that trial and although winning on debut is tough, she has plenty of upside.
Pike has his work cut out from barrier nine but she should be right in the thick of the finish.
Race 3. (15:13) Gourmet Takeaway Plate (1200m)
#1 – Miss Ivy League – Bet Now
Miss Ivy League hasn’t shown much consistency to date but she’s a winner and the rest of the field isn’t.
The two-year-old filly won by Ascot by a nose last month and she wasn’t all that far away at Belmont last time out.
Punters should get good odds and she could get back to her best form.
Race 4. (15:53) Perth Racing At Home Handicap (1000m)
#2 – Prim and Proper – Bet Now
Prim and Proper has been going close her last few runs and she’s good enough to improve enough to win.
The three-year-old filly scored a quality win at Ascot last year before running second at Group 3 level at Ascot.
That’s quality form for a race like this and we’re expecting big things.
Race 5. (16:37) Raconteur Stakes (1400m)
#2 – Laverrod – Bet Now
Laverrod is a quality type that has won four and placed in six from only 10 starts. He has yet to finish worse than third throughout his career and he’s a big chance again.
The three-year-old comes into this race with consecutive wins and he’s continuing the good run of the Toronado progeny.
Expect another tidy effort from the good draw.
Race 6. (17:10) Amelia Park BM71 (1200m)
#1 – Massimo – Bet Now
Punters have done their dough this preparation but he’s worth sticking with. The three-year-old has finished second at his last two starts but he shouldn’t have lost admirers.
William Pike sticks with him and that’s going to see plenty of money come his way in the market. He should be well-backed against this level of opposition and he could keep up his good form at Belmont.
He owns a win and two placings from three attempts on this track.
Race 7. (17:40) Crown Perth BM66 (1000m)
#4 – Son of a God – Bet Now
Son of a God has rattled off four consecutive wins this season and he’s every chance of keeping that record intact.
The Simon Miller-trained gelding won by a length at Ascot last start and it’s another quality ride for William Pike.
We’re expecting plenty of money to come his way and he could start as the odds-on favourite.
Race 8. (18:15) Heineken 3 BM66 (1400m)
#7 – Resortman – Bet Now
Looking to remain unbeaten is Resortman, which continued his perfect season at Belmont two weeks ago.
The three-year-old son of Helmut scored by 1.3 lengths and he’s clearly a type that is going to rise through the grades.
Kyra Yuill takes the ride and punters could get each-way value.
Race 9. (18:27) Schweppes 1MW (1300m)
#10 – Western Pride – Bet Now
Western Pride is another unbeaten runner and she continues William Pike’s excellent book of rides.
The Durrant-trained mare is unbeaten after three starts and despite having not raced for a year, she has been primed with two recent trials.
It could pay to watch for positive betting moves with this runner.
