Belmont Racing Tips for Saturday, May 16th 2026

We have expert betting tips for racing at Belmont on Saturday, which includes nine races at the premier meeting.

Punters get good value odds for the Western Australian meeting, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Race 1. (14:04) Bisley Workwear Plate (1200m)

#1 – Barron Bill

Barron Bill is nearing a win after back-to-back second placings, and it’s only a matter of time before he scores.

The two-year-old son of Shalaa was 1.8 lengths behind the winner last start, and getting barrier four is ideal this Saturday.

Look for money to come for him on race day.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 2. (14:39) Free Entry to Belmont Park BM66 (2200m)

#1 – Antique Star

Antique Star hasn’t been too far away from the prize this season, including three placings from five attempts.

The five-year-old mare by Pierro owns two wins and three placings from six starts at Belmont, so she’s a course specialist.

3kg comes off her back to help with the big weight, which should take her close.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 3. (15:16) Tabtouch Westspeed Platinum (1200m)

#2 – Acorn

Adam Durrant lines up Acorn, who scored at Belmont fresh up before placing twice at Ascot.

Coming back to Belmont will only help his chances of winning, and getting William Pike in the saddle only helps his chances.

Barrier two is ideal, so expect him to settle handy and kick strongly.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 4. (15:56) The Lawn Pride Australia 1MW (1000m)

#1 – Hezangelic

Shooting for three consecutive wins is Hezangelic, who scored by a nose over Acorn last time out, and that form could be franked.

The five-year-old son of Universal Ruler has yet to win at four attempts at Belmont, but he has been close with three placings.

Getting 2kg off his back is enough to take him close.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 5. (16:34) Tour Edge Golf Handicap (1400m)

#7 – Media Mogul

Punters should get each-way odds for Media Mogul, who scored at Pinjarra earlier this preparation before adding two placings.

The three-year-old son of Nicconi should bounce back from a disappointing performance last start, and he’s much better than that.

Barrier three is enough to see him settle handy and kick well.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (17:10) Mrs Mac’s BM72 (1600m)

#6 – Madame Magic

The six-year-old mare by Real Impact has yet to fire in three attempts at Belmont, but she could turn that form around.

She is nearing a win after back-to-back placings at Ascot, and form at Ascot typically stacks up well at Belmont.

Dropping to 55kg is enough to take her close.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (17:45) Swan Draught BM78 (1200m)

#9 – Snitzalatte

Snitzalatte owns four wins and four placings from 12 starts, including two wins at Ascot to kick off this preparation.

The three-year-old filly by Snitzel gets in with 52.5kg on her back, which is enough to see her return to winning form.

Holly Nottle is riding well, which adds to her appeal.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 8. (18:15) Drummond Golf Belmont Sprint (1400m)

#9 – Smooth Chino @ $2.20

Money has come for Smooth Chino, who got back to winning form at Northam last time out.

The four-year-old son of Maschino owns seven wins from nine starts, and he could win his track debut at Belmont.

Barrier two is ideal, and the $2.20 odds are worth including in horse racing multi bets.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 9. (18:50) Senturf 1MW (1600m)

#7 – Hope to Rule

Hope to Rule has been all around the mark this preparation, including two wins and two placings from her last five starts.

The four-year-old mare by Universal Ruler doesn’t have the best form at Belmont, but she doesn’t know how to run a bad race.

Her form at the distance bodes well, so she’s worth including in picks.

Stake: 1 Unit
