#5 – King’s Drama

King’s Drama is nearing a win after back-to-back placings, and it won’t take him long to win this preparation.

The four-year-old son of King’s Troop owns two wins and eight placings from 15 starts, including a win at Belmont, which is good to have.

The inside draw with a light weight helps his cause.

#2 – Encroaching

Encroaching will need some luck from the draw, but after running second on debut at Pinjarra, he should go close.

The four-year-old son of Nicconi hasn’t been too far away from the prize in two runs this prep, and getting Pike in the saddle helps.

#1 – Antique Star

Looking for consecutive wins is Antique Star, who scored easily by 2.5 lengths at Belmont last time out.

The five-year-old mare by Pierro owns five wins and 10 placings throughout her career, and her best form comes at Belmont.

We expect another tidy effort with a 3kg claimer riding.

Race 6. (16:54) PKF Perth Hyperion Stakes (1600m)

#1 – Western Empire @ $1.85

Western Empire finished over the top of them last time out, and he could repeat the dose against a similar field.

The eight-year-old is a 12-time winner and he’s all class, so we’re not surprised by the shortening odds with bookmakers.

It’s another good ride for Pike, who could have a big day.

#4 – Acorn

#8 – Thermosphere Lad
