Belmont horse racing tips

Race 1. (14:03) Tabtouch Westspeed Platinum Maiden (1000m)

#1 – At War – Bet Now

At War hasn’t done much wrong to date and although he hasn’t raced since April, he looked solid in a recent trial.

The four-year-old owns two placings from three starts, and this isn’t the strongest field he will ever have to face.

Drawing barrier one is ideal and he could dictate play in front.

Race 2. (14:43) Free Entry To Belmont Park 3YO (1600m)

#6 – Regal Dividend – Bet Now

Regal Dividend is a last-start winner at Northam and she had a bit on the field in the run to the line.

The three-year-old filly has improved with every run to date, and although she is still growing, she looks like a nice type in the making.

Rising in distance to the mile shouldn’t do her chances any harm.

Race 3. (15:19) Old Mate’s Sports Bar BM72 (1600m)

#6 – Leading Girl – Bet Now

The five-year-old mare has missed a win or placing in only one of her nine career starts. Consistency is key with this mare and she should be well-backed to score.

Despite coming off three consecutive placings this preparation, the daughter of Reliable Man has faced some tough fields.

It looks slightly easier here and dropping to 54kg is ideal.

Race 4. (15:59) Hahn Superdry Farnley Stakes (1400m)

#2 – Massimo @ $1.55 – Bet Now

Punters have to take short odds around Massimo, but he has hit top form this season and that should continue.

The four-year-old gelding is a seven-time winner from 17 starts, and he also owns seven minor placings.

He was too good for them at Belmont last start and there is no reason to jump off his back now.

Race 5. (16:38) Amelia Park Plate (1000m)

#5 – Classic Magnus – Bet Now

Classic Magnus is shooting for her third consecutive win and she could be a filly on the rise.

The daughter of Magnus won at Pinjarra two back before scoring again at Belmont Park. She won by a half-length last start and that is a good step to facing harder opposition.

She is in good hands with Lindsay Smith, so expect another good run.

Race 6. (17:20) Ascend Sales Trophies BM72 (1200m)

#5 – Nerodio – Bet Now

The five-year-old is the form runner of this field and he should take some beating. He is coming off back-to-back wins at Belmont, including a half-length win last month.

He owns six wins and five placings from 14 starts, so it’s a handy record and this field doesn’t have any superstars.

Punters might have to take short odds but they are worth taking.

Race 7. (17:55) Glenroy Chaff 1MW (1300m)

#8 – Ration Aly – Bet Now

Ration Aly has hit the ground running this season with back-to-back wins at Belmont. The four-year-old mare owns three wins from four starts, which is a great start to her career.

The latest win was a narrow margin, but she dug deep and it was an impressive performance. We are expecting something similar on Saturday and she only needs luck from a tricky draw.

Race 8. (18:30) Budget Car & Truck Rental BM66 (1000m)

#5 – This’ll Testya – Bet Now

The Adam Durrant-trained mare is a three-time winner from five starts and she looks like a progressive type.

She scored an easy 2.5-length win at Belmont Park last start and she never left second gear. It’s a good sign going forward and she only needs luck from the wide draw.

Betting will hold the key, as this is easily the hardest field she has faced to date.

Race 9. (19:10) Crown Towers 1MW (1600m)

#2 – Big Shot Paddy – Bet Now

Big Shot Paddy is a five-time winner from 19 starts and he could add another victory to his record.

The six-year-old gelding is coming off a sixth last start at Belmont, but he always runs better with a run under the belt.

Drawing barrier four is ideal and he should go close.
