The one-sided win holds him in good stead for future racing, and although there is more depth to this field, he’s the testing material.

#1 - On Patrol

On Patrol showed good speed when winning fresh before showing solid speed in four subsequent runs.

The five-year-old son of War Chant owns three wins and eight placings from 31 starts, including two wins at Morphettville.

3kg comes off his back to help with the big weight, which is a bonus.

Race 3. (15:24) Morley Growers Market BM66 (1000m)

#6 - Under Influence

Under Influence doesn’t meet an easy field on Saturday, but he’s getting close to an overdue win after back-to-back placings.

The six-year-old is a five-time winner, so he has enough class to win, and most of his best racing is done at Morphettville.

Barrier two is ideal, and we expect a tidy effort.

Race 4. (15:59) Quayclean Handicap (2200m)

#4 - Mystical Man

Mystical Man has enough experience to beat this field, and he should be fit and ready to fire after two runs this campaign.

He finished fifth at Pinjarra fresh up before placing at Belmont, and he showed a good turn-of-foot from back in the field.

Something similar should be enough to take him close at each-way odds.

#1 - Supersession

Supersession doesn’t have any recent winning form to speak of, but he has been taking on tricky fields and this is easier.

The six-year-old son of Sessions is a four-time winner over the distance, and getting 3kg off his back could be all he needs to thrive.

It’s not an easy field, but his class should take him close.

#3 - Be Bardot

Be Bardot runs well fresh up, and getting William Pike in the saddle is likely to shorten her odds on race day.

The five-year-old mare by Toronado owns three wins and two placings overall, and she comes off a trial win at Lark Hill.

Her best form might be over longer distances, but she usually sprints well fresh.

Race 7. (17:49) Swan Draught Farnley Stakes (1400m)
