Race 1. (14:19) Tabtouch Platinum (1200m)
#3 – Keep Attacking
Keep Attacking won well earlier this preparation before adding three placings, including running second at Belmont last start.
The Williams-trained six-year-old is a two-time winner at Belmont, and he also loves running over this distance.
Having William Pike in the saddle adds to his chances.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 2. (14:54) Ascot Opening Day Plate (1300m)
#7 – Pearl King
Pearl King ran second on debut at Bunbury and he could go one better on Saturday.
The three-year-old colt by Zoustar was only a nose behind the winner, so it was a good effort in defeat.
Coming to Belmont won’t do his chances any harm, so look for a betting push on race day for the promising type.
Stake: 3 Units
Race 3. (15:29) Reliable Asset Maintenance 1MW (1000m)
#2 – Pin Deep
Pin Deep owns three wins and two second placings from his last five starts, and he could score an overdue win at Belmont.
The four-year-old son of Deep Field runs some of his best races over the distance, and it’s another good ride for Pike.
We expect money to come for him thick and fast.
Stake: 4 Units
Race 4. (16:09) Perth Racing Now Hiring BM72 (1600m)
#2 – Captain Pluto
Captain Pluto has been in excellent form this preparation, including a win and three placings at Belmont.
The five-year-old son of Savabeel has been threatening to win another race, and he’s yet to finish worse than third on the track.
He adds to Pike’s excellent book of rides.
Stake: 4.5 Units
Race 5. (16:49) All WA Races on 7Plus 1MW (1600m)
#5 – Chantel
Chantel comes off back-to-back wins at Northam and Belmont, and she won by 2.8 lengths last time out.
The five-year-old daughter of God Has Spoken is a three-time winner over the distance, so dropping slightly back in distance won’t worry her.
Punters should get each-way odds on race day.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 6. (17:29) Pinnacles Carnival BM66 (2200m)
#4 – Simply
Looking to continue his good form is Simply, who was simply too good for them when winning fresh up at Pinjarra.
His form at Belmont since has been good, including consecutive second placings. There’s nothing wrong with that form, and the odds should reflect as much.
Barrier four is ideal and we’re backing Pike again.
Stake: 3.5 Units
Race 7. (18:05) Mrs Mac’s BM66 (1400m)
#9 – Trio
The Williams-trained gelding owns three wins and five placings from 11 starts, including two wins at Belmont.
He is already a three-time winner this preparation, including a narrow win earlier this month, so that’s a good form guide.
We like the way he battles, so take the odds.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 8. (18:43) Black Heart Bart Stakes (1200m)
#9 – Searchin’ Roc’s @ $2.70
Searchin’ Roc’s comes off an impressive fresh up win and she’s a smart type on her day.
The nine-time winner has the class edge in this field, and she’s a two-time winner second-up, which adds to her appeal.
Getting in with 55.5kg adds to her chances of winning.
Stake: 3.5 Units
Race 9. (19:20) Drummond Golf BM72 (1200m)
#4 – Russian Sniper
Russian Sniper is gunning for his fourth consecutive win after scoring at Belmont in fine style.
The Adam Durrant-trained gelding is a nine-time winner overall, and he’s easily good enough to handle this level of opposition.
He just needs early luck from the wide draw to go close.
Stake: 2 Units
