Bunbury horse racing tips
—
Race 1. (15:19) Bunbury Ford Platinum (1690m)
#2 – Terratif
Terratif got the job done nicely at Ascot last time out, which is ideal form for racing at Bunbury.
The Williams-trained four-year-old owns three wins and six placings from 11 starts, including a win and two placings here.
With Pike riding, she should be tough to beat.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Race 2. (15:54) Bunbury Brighter BM66 (1690m)
#1 – Filthy Habits
Looking to make a winning return is Filthy Habits, who ended last preparation with placings at Belmont.
The five-year-old son of I’m All the Talk is a six-time winner overall, and he comes off back-to-back trial wins at Bunbury.
Barrier two is ideal and this race is there for the taking.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Race 3. (16:34) City & Regional Fuels BM72 (1400m)
#1 – Fluro Neuro
Gunning for three consecutive wins is Fluro Neuro, who scored by 1.3 lengths last time out.
The five-year-old son of Gingerbread Man placed at his only attempt at Bunbury, and this race is there for the taking.
He’s good enough to carry the weight to victory.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 4. (17:14) William Barrett & Sons BM66 (1200m)
#3 – Miss Flirtacious
The four-year-old mare doesn’t know how to run a bad race after posting five wins and four placings from 16 starts.
She won well three starts back Ascot, which is a good form guide, and racing at Bunbury shouldn’t be any harder.
Getting the inside draw helps and money should come for her.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 5. (17:55) On the Ball Statewide Bearings 2YO (1200m)
#1 – Loves Talking
Looking to remain unbeaten is Loves Talking, who scored by 1.5 lengths against a tough field on debut.
The two-year-old daughter of I’m All the Talk showed good speed before holding on nicely, and it’s the best form guide for this race.
She only needs to jump well from an outside barrier, so include her in picks.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 6. (18:34) Bunbury Volkswagen 1MW (1100m)
#9 – Brazen Bid
Brazen Bid has been close to posting another win after two placings this preparation, and he’s good enough to beat this field.
The three-year-old son of Brazen Beau finished fifth behind Fluro Neuro last start, so the earlier race could be a good guide.
Carrying 55kg makes him tough to beat.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 7. (19:06) Tabtouch Bunbury Stakes (1400m)
#8 – Watch Me Rock @ $2.25
Watch Me Rock is gunning for four consecutive wins after scoring at Ascot last time out, and he’s the class runner of this field.
He owns six wins and five placings from 12 starts, and getting in with only 54kg and Pike riding makes him tough to beat.
We’re happy with the current odds available, so put him on top.
Stake: 3 Units
Race 8. (19:41) Swan Draught Bunbury Cup (2019m)
#3 – Antique Miss @ $5.00
Antique Miss owns two wins from her last four starts, including last time out at Ascot as a $3.10 favuorite.
The five-year-old daughter of Domesday has yet to win at Bunbury from two attempts but she went close when finishing second.
Barrier 11 isn’t ideal but the each-way odds are generous.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 9. (20:15) MGIB 1MW (1400m)
#11 – Helluva Goddess
Boasting two wins from three starts is Helluva Goddess, who was too good for them at Pinjarra last time out.
The three-year-old daughter of Playing God has winning form at Bunbury when scoring on debut by a nose. She paid $41 on that occasion, but she’s much shorter here.
Getting in with a light weight adds to her appeal.
Stake: 1.5 Units
