First race in 18h 0mWe have expert betting tips for racing at Canterbury on Wednesday, which includes seven races at the quality meeting.
Punters get good value odds for the New South Wales meeting, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.
Race 1. (13:25) Captivant at Vinery Stud Maiden (1200m)
#7 - Savagram @ $3.10

Looking to make a winning debut is Savagram, who has shown solid speed in two trial efforts for the Waterhouse/Bott stable.
The three-year-old colt by Savabeel cost $325,000, so expectations are high, and his second placing at the Randwick trials is a good form guide.
Look for him to settle handy to the speed and kick well.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 2. (14:00) Tab Maiden (1200m)
#1 - Wanda's Spark @ $3.50

Looking to go one better than her debut second placing is Wanda’s Spark, who should be better for the experience.
The three-year-old filly by Tagaloa finished 1.3 lengths behind the winner, and getting barrier three adds to her appeal for this run.
There is good depth to this field, but include her in horse racing picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 3. (14:35) Irresistible Pools and Spas BM64 (1900m)
#1 - Cheval De Bois @ $2.80

Cheval De Bois is a good winning hope following three consecutive second placings, and we expect money to come for him on race day.
The four-year-old son of Redwood placed at Randwick before posting two placings at Rosehill, including one behind Horizons in BM78 grade last start.
The drop in class is ideal, so he should take advantage with a win.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Race 4. (15:10) The Agency Real Estate BM72 (1250m)
#11 - Kwirky Smile @ $6.50

Kwirky Smile will need luck from a wide draw, but we liked her effort for third at Rosehill last time out.
Dropping to midweek company should suit her, and her win two back at Gosford is a tidy form guide for this level of racing.
We expect the four-year-old mare to be competitive, so take the odds.
Stake: 1 Unit
Race 5. (15:45) Chase the Dream BM72 (1250m)
#2 - Monte Veebee @ $6.00

Monte Veebee showed excellent consistency last preparation when following a win with four consecutive placings.
The five-year-old son of Snitzel ran second at his only start at Canterbury, and he owns a win and two placings from four fresh up attempts.
It’s an open field, so he should be right in the thick of the finish.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Race 6. (16:20) Precise Air BM72 (1100m)
#1 - Inoue @ $3.80

It was a big effort from Inoue to win at Canterbury last time out after missing the jump, so we’re happy to follow him for another run.
The five-year-old son of Shalaa owns four wins and three placings from 15 starts, which is good enough form to handle this level of racing.
Getting James McDonald riding only adds to his chances of success.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 7. (16:55) Ranvet BM72 (1550m)
#6 - John Dory @ $6.50

John Dory keeps running good races without winning, but we’re prepared to give him another chance at this level.
The Chris Waller-trained gelding is much better than a one-win type, and we liked the way he battled behind Funshow last start.
His second win shouldn’t be too far away, so include him in picks.
Stake: 1 Unit
