Punters could land the prize if John Dory gets up in the opener. The Chris Waller-trained gelding ran second on debut at Newcastle, which should be a tidy form guide for this race.
He is a three-year-old son of Ace High, so he’s bred to get the distance, and we expect another top effort from him on Friday.

The progeny of Russian Revolution have been running well lately, and she could be the next winner for the boom sire.

We’re going with another Waller-trained runner in Kilonova, who is much better than what she has shown at her last two starts.
The four-year-old mare by Zoustar showed good early speed, and she also owns a placing at Canterbury, so getting back to this track helps.
A positive ride could be enough to see her run close.

#5 - Flightcrew @ $3.60
Flightcrew looks to go one better than her second placing at Rosehill behind Taxation, and she was only a nose behind.
Taxation has since flopped, but we still think that race is a good form guide, and getting the inside draw here is ideal.
Take the $3.60 odds before late money comes for her.

Race 6. (20:30) Ogalo BM72 (1550m)
#2 - Broadway Bouncer @ $5.50
Running at each-way odds is Broadway Bouncer, who wasn’t all that far away when fifth in a big field at Randwick behind Sonofdec.
That form should hold up well against this much smaller field, and he didn’t have conditions to suit, so Friday’s race should be an ideal target.

Punters should expect a better effort from Jack Duggan after two ninths to kick off this preparation.
The Jason Deamer-trained gelding is an eight-time winner overall, and it’s good to see the stable persisting with running at Canterbury despite his poor form here.
This race is up his alley, so we’re snapping up the odds.

#5 - Apex @ $5.50
Apex runs his best races in a fresh state, including three starts for a win and two placings.
