We have backed Codigo a few times this season, and although the former Kiwi hasn’t delivered, we’re giving him another chance.
The Moody/Coleman-trained gelding owns four wins and seven placings from 20 starts, so the form is on the board.
Barrier four is ideal, so there are no excuses.
Stake: 1 Unit
Devil Night comes off a fourth behind Giga Kick, which is a good enough form guide to win at this level.
The three-year-old colt by Extreme Choice has only one win on his record, but it came at Group 1 level when beating superstar Tentyris.
There is no better form guide than that for this race, so we’re keeping the faith.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Looking to go one better than his fresh up second is Immediacy, who went close behind a genuine Group 1 contender in Light Infantry Man.
The five-year-old son of Tarzino owns two wins at the track, distance, and second up, so he’s a good statistical bet.
He’s also fitter now, so punters should expect a tidy effort.
Stake: 2 Units
Deel Done Fast makes his return following a third in the Victoria Derby behind Observer, who scored a good fresh up win.
That bodes well for the three-year-old son of Dundeel, who has yet to win a race, but it’s only a matter of time before he breaks through.
Kicking off over 1800m is ideal, which makes him a top pick.
Stake: 1 Unit
Gunning for three consecutive wins is Sheza Alibi, who couldn’t have been more impressive when winning a Group 2 by 5.8 lengths last start.
The three-year-old filly by Saxon Warrior will only be stronger this preparation, and she could be a runner to follow throughout the autumn.
The inside draw is ideal, so back her with confidence.
Stake: 3.5 Units
We said we were giving Damask Rose one more chance last start, and she earned a pass mark when running second behind Wrote to Arataki.
The Mark Walker-trained mare won the NZB Kiwi last year, which was an amazing effort, and we need to see that form return.
She is drawn to get a soft run, which makes her a winning hope.
Stake: 1 Unit

We were impressed by the performance of Two Wolves last time out, who came from last to beat a handy field at Caulfield.
The four-year-old owns three wins from five starts, and although there is more depth to this field, carrying 54.5kg helps his chances.
We’re happy with the current odds with bookies.
Stake: 1 Unit
