Chairman’s Sprint Prize Runner-By-Runner Guide
The star of the show, and almost unbeatable at this stage. The odds are short, but they’re worth including in horse racing multi bets.
He will track the speed into the straight and put them away in a couple of bounds. Watch a star in action on Sunday and marvel at his ability.
The biggest danger to cause an almighty upset. He comes off a Group 1 win in Japan, where he ran good sectionals, and a repeat could take him close.
We don’t know if he’s good enough to beat the favourite, but he could have a few lengths on the rest of the field.
Finishing second to Ka Ying Rising is not easy, and after three consecutive placings, he should be respected in this race.
Beating the two favourites won’t be easy, but he’s an obvious quinella chance, and he could finish ahead of Satono Reve with the right run in transit.
Fifth behind Lucky Sweynesse last time out, and he will need to find a few lengths on that effort.
It wasn’t a bad run, but this is the ultimate test, so he needs to improve 3-4 lengths to finish in the first three.
Third behind Ka Ying Rising last start at mammoth odds, and he could finish in the first four again.
Punters get big odds to win, but he shouldn’t be overlooked as a first four hope.
An interesting runner coming off three consecutive placings. We don’t think European sprinting form cuts it in Hong Kong, as we could find out on Sunday.
We’re happy to watch him this time around.
The former Australian showed solid form when first arriving in Hong Kong, but his form has tapered off since competing at the top level.
Based on his form this season, we can’t see him finishing in the top three, but he could run fourth.
A winner three back against an easier field. Needs to find a lot to win this.
