Empire Rose Stakes Form Guide & Tips

1. Eduardo ($4) Bet @ Sportsbet

Third in The Everest and he showed his usual toughness. Beaten by Masked Crusader, but if he can set a slow tempo, the race could be his for the taking.

He is a must-include in selections.

2. Masked Crusader (Best Bet – $3.40) Bet @ Sportsbet

Just missed in The Everest, and he had Nature Strip just after the line. It was unfortunate for punters, especially after he got back and had to weave through the field.

He is a special sprinter who could get back to his winning ways on Saturday. We’re happy with the odds available.

3. Gytrash (Best Roughie – $14) Bet @ Sportsbet

Bookmakers are offering generous odds after he pulled up lame in The Everest. It pays to forget that run, so stick with him.

He only needs a nice run from out wide to go close.

4. Trekking ($26) Bet @ Sportsbet

Not showing his best form this year and we can’t see him winning this race. It’s a tough one, so wait for something easier.

5. Kementari ($31) Bet @ Sportsbet

He got back to winning form fresh up but that was in a much easier contest. We don’t have much faith in him against this level of opposition.

6. I Am Superman ($35) Bet @ Sportsbet

He’s not running well enough for our liking. Not against this company.

7. Imaging ($81) Bet @ Sportsbet

Chris Waller keeps persisting, but he is out of form. He’s simply not quite enough to keep up with them here.

8. Standout ($21) Bet @ Sportsbet

Second in the Premiere Stakes last start, which could bode well. He should get every chance off the inside draw, so keep him in mind.

9. Top Ranked ($26) Bet @ Sportsbet

A European miler who takes on some of the best sprinters in Australia. Can’t see him figuring in the finish.

10. Big Parade ($7) Bet @ Sportsbet

He likes to sit on the pace and give a good kick, like he did last time out. Likes Rosehill, and with eight wins from 15 starts, he should be tough to handle.

Consider at the each-way odds.

11. Signore Fox ($34) Bet @ Sportsbet

He’s not running well enough. Punters get big odds and with good reason.

12. Dawn Passage ($51) Bet @ Sportsbet

Fresh up form reads well and he is a three-time winner at Rosehill. However, we think his best days are behind him.

13. Lost and Running (Best Each Way – $9.50) Bet @ Sportsbet

Nothing wrong with his run for fourth in The Everest and he didn’t get all favours in the run.

The ability is there and he might be the forgotten runner in the field. He just needs luck from the wide barrier.

14. Prime Candidate ($35) Bet @ Sportsbet

Comes off back-to-back placings, but they’re not coming at this level. He should struggle to pick them up.

15. Edit ($35) Bet @ Sportsbet

A former Kiwi who was hitting the line nicely last start. That came against provincial types, so we can’t see that form stacking up well here.

16. Libertini ($27) Bet @ Sportsbet

She is tough to follow, but not much went right in The Everest. We’re prepared to give her one last chance for first four selections.
