The Coolmore Classic is always a quality race for the fillies and mares. The 2019 Coolmore Classic will be no different as some of the more experience runners take on the youngsters in this $600,000 feature at Rosehill.
It’s a full field which has come up as an even market. Punters are getting great value and we have our best bet, best each way and best roughie for the big race.

Coolmore Classic Form Guide & Tips
Daysee Doom ($23) Bet Now
Well past her best but she’s a nine-time winner which can’t be discounted. Drawing barrier 21 isn’t going to make this easy.
Has been specked after opening at $20 but since drifted back out to $23.
Dixie Blossoms ($14) Bet Now
Nice run for second behind Alassio last start and we’re liking that race as a form guide for this.
Drawn well and she will likely sit close to the pace and kick a good kick in the straight.
Savvy Coup ($61) Bet Now
Former Kiwi sprinter which hasn’t found her footing in Australia. Hard to find that against this quality of field and she would need to show her best New Zealand form to win this.
$61 is about right given her recent efforts.
Eckstein ($27) Bet Now
Defeated some nice types when scoring an upset win two back at odds of $31. Unable to back up that win last time out behind Alassio and it might have been a flash-in-the-pan type performance.
Oregon’s Day ($13) Bet Now
Scored a deserved win at Flemington last start when holding off a fast-finishing field. Gets a nice draw again and Michael Walker will get the best out of her.
Twice-placed on this track and we wouldn’t be ruling out her chances.
Alassio (Best Each Way – $13) Bet Now
Owns good barrier speed and she continually uses that to her advantage. Goes forward and like last start, she will take some running down.
Six-time winner from 10 starts and despite this being her first run at Rosehill, the tighter-turning track is only going to benefit her.
Nice odds on offer.
Cool Passion ($17) Bet Now
Fourth behind Trapeze Artist at Group 1 level last start and she wasn’t beaten by as far as many had predicted.
Likely to take good benefit from that and she could show up at each way odds.
Noire ($27) Bet Now
Didn’t fire a shot behind Alassio last start when she was well-favoured in the betting. Tough to line up her form because of that run but we’re prepared to give her another chance.
$27 is a good price for value punters.
White Moss ($34) Bet Now
Huge win at odds of $50 last start but she’s a slim chance to do it again here. Whilst we’re not discounting that win, as it did come over our best bet I Am Serious, she’s not the most consistent type and she is hard to follow.
Prefer to watch and see how she runs.
Aloisia ($19) Bet Now
Simply hasn’t matured into an older horse. Continues to attract some attention in the betting but drawing barrier 24 will force her back.
Tough to see her turn-of-foot being good enough to win.
I Am Serious (Best Bet – $6) Bet Now
Is a serious racehorse and despite running second behind White Moss last start, that was the perfect preparation to win this race.
She is a two-time winner second-up and although drawing barrier 15 could pose some problems, she’s an adaptable type which is going to be awfully tough to hold out.
$6 is worth taking.
Invincible Gem ($41) Bet Now
Better at the sprinting distances and she hasn’t been showing enough against easier opposition to be considered a winning chance.
Needs to lift.
Princess Posh ($27) Bet Now
Scored an upset win in the Newmarket Handicap at Newcastle last start when beating Savatiano. We’re not sure that form is the best guide for a Group 1 contest, but we wouldn’t rule her out.
Needs luck from out wide but money has come for her.
Savatiano ($16) Bet Now
Only narrowly beaten when running as the favourite in the Newmarket at Newcastle. Had previously run third behind White Moss and I Am Serious.
If they run quickly up front, she could be the one finishing over the top.
El Dorado Dreaming (Best Roughie – $19) Bet Now
One-race winner from 11 starts but she pushed the likes of Nakeeta Jane and Fundamentalist close in the Surround Stakes last time out.
Form out of that has stacked up in the Randwick Guineas and she will get back from the draw and hope for some breaks in the straight.
Big chance if the luck comes.
Fiesta ($12) Bet Now
Quality filly on her day but her best recent performance came in a restricted age-group race where the form hasn’t stacked up well.
That’s the big question hanging over her head and she’s too short in the betting for our liking.
Jamaican Rain ($8) Bet Now
Led throughout at Caulfield last start and she drops in weight from 58kg to 52.5kg with Glen Boss in the saddle.
Owns some serious pace and she will likely try to cross the field from out wide. If she works, she won’t win, but if she crosses easily, she could be the one to hold out.
Bella Martini ($31) Bet Now
No good last time out and she’s not winning regularly enough for us to select. Has been specked in from $31 to $26 surprisingly (back out to $31).
Manicure ($19) Bet Now
Had her chance to run down Alassio last start but couldn’t do it. Likely to improve with that run under her belt and despite the draw, we couldn’t rule her out.
Chance at the odds.
Moss Trip ($14) Bet Now
Showed promise when winning consecutive races last campaign but she would need to produce a career-best run to win.
51.5kg on her back is a big asset.
Mandylion – $101
Mizzy – $26
Qafila – $71
Pohutakawa – $18
